Allan,

There are some very surprising numbers there, I would have thought that the derby between Launceston v Redruth would have attracted a much larger crowd for instance.

I was astonished by that figure too VFRR. It must be wrong. I took them from the Rugby Paper but will update them with more accurate data.

Interesting that in Nat 2 North only 2 attendances are the same in your table (rugby paper) and on Rugby Round-up.

Here's the corrected table based on the 'official' returns made to the NCA. The ? appears when the official return doesn't give a figure.

There'll have been more at Wharfedale vs Otley than 254.  Thats for damn sure.  Anyone know the attendances for N3N by any chance?

Not bad gate failed prop, here at Henley we have to compete with Wasps, London Irish, Reading  Wycombe Wanderers and Oxford Utd are just a few, our last game home gate was 350??, I expect you are the main sporting event on the island, but I could be wrong!!

Nick.

How on earth does the Rugby Paper report a gate of 220 for the Cornish derby if the official return is over 1000? I could understand a small discrepancy, but being out by 900 is a pretty big miss.

I suppose numbers may be added when the reporter has not been able to find out the official club figure before the printing deadline rather than have a blank?

TAUNTON v LYDNEY 380 was the number that paid on the gate. In addition we had 150 guests sat down for lunch prior to the game.

Can't believe Newbury had 2nd highest attendance on Saturday - placed seemed pretty quiet to me. Other places must be morgue like. I know quality vs quantity etc but even so I'm sure these numbers are mostly wrong.
