No doubt everyone is celebrating the end of the season for different reasons but most importantly, celebrating!!

The final results of the scheduled season were;

Bournemouth 80 - 14 Salisbury
Bracknell 18 - 19 Old Redcliffians
Brixham 23 - 29 Newton Abbot
Cleve 50 - 22 Camborne
Dings Crusaders 76 - 10 Launceston
Hornets 27 - 19 Ivybridge
Lydney 17 - 31 Bromsgrove

I said it would throw up a few odd results and well done to Bromsgrove on a great result in your 'Derby'. As for 3rd place Camborne, I have no idea what went on there...

Congratulations to the league winners Old Reds and the play-off contenders Dings. Good luck in the battle with a load of wombles.

Its a great season and thanks for all the bits of banter...

Well after arriving in Cardiff from our 1st double of the season over Luctonians. I've sat down and completed the final league positions. A few turn ups for the books with Bromsgrove, Cleve & NABS being the perpetrators of such a heinous crime LOL creating havoc in the racks. This weeks Starperformers are NeilSKN, Dingbat and Chipping Man who doesn't do such a bad job when he isn't copying and pasting LOL. Clap Clap Clap.
Dingbat with his 5 has pulled away at the top and is champion predictor this season Clap Clap Clap.
Therefore as chief adjudicator I suggest that if Dings fail in their quest for N2S I suggest when he goes any of the grounds next season it is incumbent on you RM gents to buy him a pint.
Do your best to find a victim to continue the league next season, always assuming RM let us keep using the National league forum, if things change and we become Premier leagues instead.
Dingbat 133
Fat Bear 130

Many thanks FP for putting the league together and your friendly banter throughout. Congratulations to Dingbat on an impressive win and good luck in the playoffs and hope you strengthen the SW presence in Nat2 and be great to have another Bristol club in that league.

Have a great summer and speak soon.

CM :)

Agreed ChipMan, thanks to FP for the banter and putting the scores up so quickly. I think that's the third season I've finished either 4th or 5th, never the bride!
Enjoy your summers one 'n all, it'll soon be September.

The trend seems to be that kind hearted predictors have wished them luck in their journey to achieving Nat 2 Rugby by beating Dings.
Well, you miserable load of predictors get behind Dings and show some solidarity.
( not sure they will but my view is go and give them a bloody good game )

Predictions for this week is as it should be for the last week. - FUN
Therefore I will pick all the underdogs as I'm sure with nothing to play for we should see some different players being given a chance of 1st team rugby.

Bracknell
Newton Abbot
Cleve
Launceston
Ivybridge
Bromsgrove
Salisbury

Thanks CM and FP for the seasons efforts and look forward to next season.

Good Luck Dings and look forward to coming to the new ground.

Romanrelic..... As a Dorking supporter I sit on the fence and wish best of luck to both sides. The last play-off I went to watch as a neutral was Old Elthamians v Redingensians Rams. (3 years ago?) You only have to see how well both are doing now in N2S. I also recall a very friendly and hospitable visit to Dings in the year Dings were relegated. I recall Dings were very much a club in the same mould as Dorking and had suffered with injuries and player departures when relegated. Much was said at the time about re-building Dings with a potential sale of their ground at Lockleaze and move to a new ground at Frenchay Park. I have not followed this progress, but note that Dings website states they are still at Lockleaze but Wikipedia states that in 2015 the move was confirmed. What has happened?. Around the same time Clifton benefitted financially with regard to their set up and the cash injection has helped them sustain their position in N2S.
Clearly this year Dings have done very well and now stand on the brink of a return to N2S. What has contributed to their turnaround of fortunes and success this season?. I wish them the very best of luck against Wimbledon on saturday. I expect another close play-off, as last year with Tonbridge Juddians and Barnstaple. Lets hope that rugby is the winner.

As another neutral, I wonder whether Dings can emulate Barnstaple? Last year's PO featured a team with 102 points hosting one with 98 = not much in it; this year's sees 115 - enough for automatic promotion in most N3 leagues most years - host 87. I realise the score will be 0-0 at kick-off, it's a one-off occasion etc but I'm tipping the Wombles to clean up...

I believe Dings will make the move this summer, having confirmed the deal last year. Can anyone confirm?

Yes you are Correct , Dings Are due to Move into ` Shaftesbury Park  ` ,  in early October  2017, The Pitches were sown and laid last Summer and are currently being reseeded and additional slit drainage being carried out , The Steel Frame is in place and as we speak the floors are being installed , a busy Summer Ahead , i must add , we all wished Launceston all the very Best after Saturdays game , i think we caught them out with the game plan , the weather was Gorgeous and they didnt give up  , after a fitting send off last saturday  it is almost certain the Build will not   be ready  in time for the beginning of the Season , but the whole club , has been reinvigorated by the last 2 years of off field hard work , and in answer to Fezant Ant Question , we have stuck to our principles but a few old Boys were keen to spend their last few years with old friends , but the main Factor was the appointment of Stean Williams a a Director Of Rugby , and hes done a fantastic Job ,  as aside  "Shaftesbury Park " is a Homage to our very Early Roots , i for one cannot wait
The Only thing that held me back was a lack of Talent

Well said Bluepig.
I would also add that you must not forget all the hard work that the commitee has done especially Raymond, Richard and Steve has done. I'm sure others have also added valuable contributions.
The Club has always been a proper Rugby Club and all has been made welcome. The ethos has never changed and see no reason for it to change. They all play for the proud badge they wear and not for financial gain.
That's why they had 12 years in Nat 2.
The new ground will be one of finest in the South- West when complete and I'm sure it will attract further players.
Good luck Dings.

Thanks for keeping everything updated this year FP,nice to win the predition league after coming 2nd last year to Elmosphere(what happened to him) but the banter we all had was the most enjoyable thing. If we stay in this league I shall make sure I get my free pint at all away matches thanks that's good of you all.

Have a lovely summer everyone see you all for the start of next season.
