With that line up of new signings I think any concerns we all may have had about OE's stability after the demise of Secure Trading have been put to bed.

I wouldn’t question OE’s financial stability for one moment, but new signings are no indication of anything other than ambition. Paying them is a separate issue as Leeds have shown.

We all wait to see who the new sponsor is. #
Their AGM is tonight - would be a sensible place to mak an announcement.

Certainly was Penda and Caldy were so happy that he decided to make the step up to the National Leagues via Caldy on his way to bigger and better things. Sandbach RFC have generated so many talented players over the years ................they deserve massive praise for their support to aspiring young players. When Concs arrived at Caldy it took him no time at all to make the step up as has been the case with all the other very good players who have found their way to Caldy via Sandbach.

Sandbach do it right!

I've just read OE's list of signings some bold ones in there for sure. Are they getting towards full-time? 3 evenings a week?. Signed a lot of championship players.....

I think OE's are clearly pushing for the Championship as I am sure a massively strengthened Sale FC will be as well. It is going to be tasty.

Sale FC  . . have signed a big no 8 from Bedford . .. but I think we will see a closer tie with Sale this season.

OE's looking very strong as do Chinnor and RP . . yet again Nat 1 will be the most entertaining league as they all push for the promised land of the Championship!!!!! Be careful what you wish for.
Run with it

Question

As the RFU deal with the Championship runs out at the end of the season and there must be a possibility its not renewed what would the Nat 1 clubs do then

Carl Kirwan is a quality premiership player but has been blighted by serious injury. If he can have a good run he'll be awesome.

Some serious signings in a considerable number of Nat 1 teams - OE's, Rosslyn Park, Chinnor , Sale FC and Moseley. Must be some big budgets on show!. I can't think that a lot the players who have signed for these sides would go straight from full-time to part-time.

Quite a few do, as we know from experience at Cov when at this level.
Quite often those who are not, ahem, in the first flush of youth drop out of the full-time rat-race to start up or develop businesses or even coaching careers.
Makes a deal of sense too.
