Lots of new faces at Roth, mostly in their early 20's, a good number following the well trodden paths from Leeds academy and the Yorkshire u20 squad, the coach of the latter Anthony Posa is the new Head Coach, as Joe Barker has taken a job in Hong Kong.

Backs:

Scrum half - Connor Adams (Bury St Edmunds)
Centre - Tom Bullough (Carnegie), Tom Williams (Leeds Beckett)
Fly Half/Full Back - Sam Hollingsworth (Mose)
Wing - Ben Robbins (Currie)

Forwards:

Prop - Toby Williams (Doncaster), Harry Whitfield (Huddersfield), Reece Ward (Wharfedale)
Hooker - Harry Newborn (Carnegie), Ianto Jones (Sheffield)
2nd Row - Alfie North (Ayr), Elliott Ward (Carnegie)
Back Row - Anthony Maka (Sarries), Keifer Laxton (Cambridge), Will Hughes (Malton & Norton), Lewis Wilson (Carnegie)

The website has our squad at 27, which suggests 12 staying on from last season, with another 4/5 to come.

Edited for the 12 retained...

Full back/fly half: Sam Allen
Wing: Dan Leake, Connor Field
Centre: Jamie Cooke, Harry Dunne
Scrum half: Connor Dever

Prop: Rikki Stout, Will Dennis
Hooker: Jack Bergmanas
2nd Row: Kieran Frost, Dan Preston-Routledge
Back Row: Zac Poole

Can anybody explain why the exodus from Cambridge. The Ayrton Brothers must be a great loss, especially to a local rival who doesn't pay as much.Maybe the coaching has something to do with it.

They both live in Storftord and the drive is a long one in traffic 3 times a week, made sense with work commitments...

Rumours on Forums don't always lead to signatures on contracts.

Anthony Maka is a good kid, cousin of Mako and Billy, very physical and athletic, good signing for Rotherham.

Player of the season (coach's and fans') IIRC this at summer's awards night. However, work promotion means move to London. Sorry to see him go, but can't stand in the way of someone's career (non-rugby) at this level.
keep the faith

If signings are any indicator to go by, we are looking at a repeat of last year in National 1 with arguably 6/7 teams vying for top spot. Interesting times! And its only June!

Why do you think Richmond will be in Nat1 . . have Leeds found an escape route or have Richmond declined promotion?

Looking at the signing being made in Nat 1 it is going to be an amazingly competitive league . . with Chinnor, RP, Roth and OE's being the early favourites!!!!
Run with it
