Lots and lots of gossip about what Loo's problem might be - very salacious.

Davenport were pretty poor today.
A clear (from the side line) advantage "up front" but insisted on going wide all the time.
Schofield played no. 8 and was below average, despite his alleged £90k pay package.

Stockport's talismanic 10 was injured within the first few minutes and I feel that might have been the deciding factor.
That said we also had injuries to important players. With our small 1st XV squad, this could become an issue.

Problem???? We've just stuffed a team by 30 points & it could/should have been more... "problem" was round pegs round holes which today for the first time in a couple of months we had.

I'm certainly not going to repeat the gossip but you probably have heard the same rumours.
No doubt it’s happened before at other clubs and will happen again at other clubs - certainly happened at our club a number of years ago.

In regards to gossip. If it's rugby related feel free to gossip away however if its to do with the lads personal lives I feel this isn't the arena. They are not superstars and don't deserve to have their personal lives plastered over the public domain. That's for all clubs in my eyes.

...hence my "not going to repeat the gossip" as I agree with you it has no place here

Anselmians report of Saturday's game is pretty bang on. Terrific performance from Loo, so much easier when you have a 9&10 playing 9&10.

Agreed - quality write up to be fair, bothered to know the opposition names which is a rarity!

All we need to do now is beat Warrington at home and we're out of the drop zone (for now)

Should be easy

Sigh

Consistency of selection especially in key positions. If we can have roughly that 18 fit & available for the rest of the season we're fine...but is a big IF.

Don't want to get hopes too high for this weekend, but didn't Warrington firm drop at this same point last year when their substantial quantity of League players returned to the 13 man game?

BP 15 Penrith 7 half time

Interesting first half all BP early stages. Penrith got stronger as the game went on.

Second half underway

Burnage 33 Carlisle 36

Not clear from today’s game why they are run away leaders.
What was clear was that the referee had decided before the game which was the best team and refereed to that point of view.
We weren’t great but the referee had a very poor game

Beware the Ides of March for BP.

On a positive they dug deep again last week to effectively sail home in the last quarter, and they do seem able to close games out.

However, as they enter March with two tough back to back away games coming up, with a very difficult game against away to Douglas then even a tougher test as they take a stroll down Memory Lane and head to BP Birkenhead Park things look very tough indeed next two out.

As both you MGC and LF state there is a lot to play for yet.

All the best
