Hello , here are this weeks fixtures for
Week 1

Blaydon v Macclesfield

Ilkley v Harrogate

Lymm v Blackburn

Morpeth v Carlisle

Sandal v Kirkby Lonsdale

Billingham v Wirral

Rossendale v Alnwick

Lots of interesting games this week ,some old rivalries renewed and some match ups between teams either promoted or relegated last season, let's see what I can find to please/annoy my fellow predictors with.

Blaydon v Macclesfield, Blaydon playoff losers last time against relegated Macclesfield, always think it's difficult for a relegated team to adjust so think a narrow home win.Ilkley v Harrogate, ' Gate did the double over the Dalesmen last year and noth will be there or thereabouts, Harrogate might have the edge.
Lymm had a mighty struggle last season ending in 11th place, Blackburn had a great run winning 14 of 15 games to occupy the runners up spot before winning promotion via the play off, Blackburn to get off to a winning start.
Morpeth v Carlisle is a good Northern battle , both teams promoted last time and this is hard to predict.
Sandal handed Kirkby Lonsdale a heavy defeat 52-7 last season but lost by a point in Cumbria, Sandal to win this time.
Billingham v Wirral last season 4th v 7th , Bill very difficult to beat at home on the artificial pitch, so home win for me.
Rossendale v Alnwick 5th v 9th last season 'dale doing the double over their Northumberland rivals so think home win again.
As per tradition, no UNBANKABLE this week, so go out get as many points as you can without the bonus game this week, its sure to be an interesting and competitive season. Good luck everyone!PLEASE NOTE ALL BILLINGHAM HOME GAMES ARE 2.15 KICK OFFS THIS SEASON predictions need to be posted by 1.30pm Saturday

Looks on the face of it a league of haves & have nots. Obviously won't turn out this way. Although both could start competitively, it's a big step up over a season. Burn have splashed the cash, including our own 2nd row Connor Scrivens who is a fantastic carrier & will certainly give them drive. No idea on Carlisle, but both will have to step up massively from last season. We played Lymm last week, & if that was their strongest team? they may struggle.

Don’t forget your banker game people ! There is no unbankable game this week but you still have your banker to use ! Please just ‘edit’ your post and add one game with banker next to it and it’s double points on that fixture.

The advantage law is the best law in rugby, because it lets you ignore all the others for the good of the game.

My apologies for any confusion re Banker and Unbankable, let's clarify the situation here before it gets out of hand.

1) Week 1 as per tradition, there will be no game declared as UNBANKABLE

2) ...and this is my fault, everybody is entitled to declare a Banker game each and every week for double points on that particular selected game.

3) Simple enough process to add your Banker to your selections if already posted, select edit , your selections will show up and just add BANKER to your chosen game for double points.
