Week 13 is here which brings us to the halfway point of the season. Already. After this round we're into the reverse fixtures, so we should have settled into the positions where we naturally lay. Not much chopping and changing from here, so are the bottom 3 already down? 10pts between 3rd & 4th bottom may prove to be too much, unfortunately.

PGH look pretty solid for 1st place, and 2nd looks to be a 2-5 team tussle, with 10pts between them.

Very interesting indeed.

Let's see what our final round of 1st encounters throws up

Gate vs Morley could get ugly for Morley. Rooted to the bottom of the table, they did pick up their 1st win recently away against fellow North 1 East promotees Pocklington, but got turned over by league leaders PGH last time out. Which is fairly unsurprising, I suppose. Gate have lost 2 of their last 3, albeit against 1st & 2nd, but still, not the best form. Back on the horse in a serious way here though I fear.

Ilkley vs Lymm would see me lean towards an away win. Lymm scored a very impressive home win against Gate last time out, & have only fallen to PGH so far this season. Ilkley are doing enough to keep well clear of the bottom 3, but not exactly setting the league alight. I'd imagine that's just fine by them!

Kendal vs BPark sees Kendal with 3 losses out of their last 4 take on BPark with 3 straight defeats on the back of a win against Morley. Narrowly missed out in the derby against Wirral last time out, they will be desperate to get points however and wherever they can. Bonus points aren't going to cut it at this stage, but in away games that might be the most they can hope for. I'd imagine this is circled as a winnable one, though, so I'm expecting thunder. 12pts between them, 7 would look better for the BPark boys.

KLon vs Hull sees KLon in the midst of 6 losses in their last 7 games visited by the always dangerous Hull, who's victories in their previous 2 games total 88-8! Not a bad return! Looks like an away win to me, Hull keeping their noses in the promotion battle, and KLon needing to return to winning ways before that 14pt cushion from the bottom 3 gets any thinner.

Pock vs Sandal is a kind of crunch match with 13th playing 11th. Sandal have an 11pt buffer over 13th place Pock, but a 5-0 here drags them right into trouble. Doesn't seem very likely, but no telling what Sandal are up to this season

PGH vs Bill is the game of the day. Can Bill's backs outfox PGH's? Will PGH's pack bully the bill boys? Fascinating encounter on the cards here, wouldn't mind a peek at the highlights if they become available. Think it will be a home win, but Bill might fancy their chances, and could be good for at least a BP

Dale vs Wirral is really not inspiring me this week. Sounds dull, don't know why LOL. Away win? Not bothered LOL

This week's UNBANKABLE is to be Harrogate vs Morley

Harrogate vs Morley
Ilkley vs Lymm
Kendal vs Birkenhead Park
Kirkby Lonsdale vs Hull
Pocklington vs Sandal
Preston Grasshoppers vs Billingham
Rossendale vs Wirral

Good Luck!

Harrogate  v Morley 5-0. +10. Straightforward.
Ilkley  v Lymm 0-5. +10. Ilkley to run it but Lymm to run it more.
Kendal  v  Birkenhead 5-0. +10. Tough to start but you'd think this result by the end.
Kirkby  v Hull 0-5. +10. Lots of points here.       BANKER
Pock  v Sandal 1-4. -10. Could be an interesting battle here
Preston  v Billingham 1-4. -10. Sod it. Come on Bill!!!
Rossendale v Wirral 4-1. -10. Wirral might have a hard time at Rossendale.

Yogi, you should be backing Ilkley to beat Lymm if you‘re thinking of Hull..... don’t think you’ll catch PGH, especially as you have yet to come to Ilkley !

Pristine Shorts,
It would suit Hull very well if your boys beat Lymm, very well indeed.
As for the Ilkley v Hull game, that is three months away and we are to visit Hoppers and Lymm in
January.  I think you may agree that those visits put our trip to Stacks field in perspective!!
So for tomorrow - COME ON ILKLEY!!!
What's with you Boo-Boo
