I've been reading this forum for a year or so now and can see a sharp decline in content so here's one for all. Can anyone shed any light on the rumour that Park brought in 7No Harlequin Bs for their visit to college meadow yesterday. If i was one of the benched players Id leave when you consider their recent form. The rumour came from the Park support who had no idea 'who the lump on the wing is'.

From what I was told the lad was a lock not a winger and he was denied a try at the last when from where I was standing he appeared to have touched down on the line, but it was disallowed.

According to the teamsheet on their Twitter page, Park's second rows were Greg Gillanders, who has made 17 league appearances this season, and Jon Mills, their player/ forwards coach (11 appearances).
Wingers were Charlie Amesbury (8) and Connor Hayhow (11).

So I think your rumour might be a load of snakefruits.

If you mean the big 12 that was Joe Munro who is on loan from Ealing
The big lock was Hugh Tizard from Quins

I'm glad as it didn't ring true to me and id have been disappointed for the Park players if it were. The try at the end, i was at the other end of the pitch but must admit the ref had a good game yesterday therefore I assumed he'd gotten it right. A draw would have been a prefect result considering it was a game of two halves in terms of possession and points. The physicality at this level is just phenomenal!

RJV Does not mean some of these are not on loan,
even though they have played several games for Park.

I would agree the ref had a very good game (someone said he was an ex premiership player?) and like you I was far away with no clear view of the possible try but the Park players appeared to accept his decision with good grace.

On a tangent, did anyone catch the Park radio commentary of the second half which is still available on YouTube? Seemed first rate to me. Purely accidental I’m told that there was no coverage of the first half when Park were under the cosh.

Who was the ref?

Being an ex-pro would make sense, he even managed the scrum correctly and like you say the Park players were essentially accepting of the 'big' decision. I'd love to have the stats at hand to list the caps on the field for OEs yesterday. I think our fellow enthusiasts would be surprised at the relatively low churn rate of our first team, all without access to professional rosters!

According to the OEs website 12 of the starting 15 were the team that won promotion from N2S

According to the Quins site Tizard from Guildford, 6'4 and 18st,
He is only 18 - hope he has stopped growing.
Sounds like he is going to be a handful.

Oh Lord! Still, I remember Ollie Claxton chopped him down very nicely in the second half!! Good luck to the young giant though. He's a force!

Looked like a try to me but what a great game. The contact is brutal and because of that, squad requirements must be never ending hence loans etc. Fantastic result for OE's, exciting times for the old boys.

I was told by a few people that it was a try, however I was also informed that one of the Rosslyn Park's tries should not have been given, so swings and roundabouts over the game and probably over the season as well.
The older I get, the better I was.

Joe is not on loan, he is a Park Player.
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.
