The NCA webpage is showing that Chester are travelling to Sedgely Park on Friday 10th August.

As usual, there's nothing on our website or FB page...

It looks like our first XV will be playing Macclesfield at home on Aug 25th,15:00 KO - first game on our shiney new AGP. Well, the second XV are playing against Mold firsts on the same day, 13:00 KO, so I guess they're technically the first game on the new pitch!

Strange that we've chosen Macc for a friendly as we'll be meeting them on September 8th in the league.

I suspect there would likely have been little choice in the matter - last week in August is usually county cup weekend isn't it?
And that's the bottom line, 'cause Stone Cold said so!

Technically it’s the semi final of the Cheshire cup. although we will
Be bringing a mixed 1&2’s squad as we use it as a pre season warm

If it's Cup weekend then I understand, thought it was strange arranging a friendly against a team we'll be meeting in the league a fortnight later!

Just checked, Cheshire RFU have the game listed along with Sale vs Caldy on the same day.

Caldy are not playing Sale on 25th August as they have them on 8th September when the 2017-18 cup final/ 2018-19 Cup Semi final and league game will be played could be a long day!!!

OH......the Plymouth story is complex and might be better explained by somebody else......but.....I think that .......let us call it a rogue element down Plymouth way, may have organised a pre-season game with us and perhaps, many other clubs.  I think that this came as a surprise to Plymouth RFC, so we have Guildford instead.
The website does not yet show it, but I believe we are also away at Cobham on 11/8.

You might prefer stiffer opposition, but on the plus side we might get two warm-ups this year, which is better than we usually manage Ouch.
