The Prem fixtures are out on July 6th, according to a Bristol tweet... but no idea whether that's any form of guide for us.

Tom - I’ve no idea why it’s taking to long to publish this coming season’s Championhip fixtures. After all, last season we had the play off fixtures to get out of the way first - John

John

Hopefully it'll be nearer the 2017 release date than 2016. I realise they've left us, but Bristol started pre-season today! The Reds are convening next week, not sure about anyone else

Back to pre-season fixtures: we await news of who Donny, Scottish, Hartpury and Nottingham are playing...

Cheers

Sadly the Doncaster Knights Communications Department was sucked into a black hole and are therefore finding it extremely difficult to make any communications to their fan base or the wider rugby community. A rescue plan is being worked upon to see if we can get a very long rope and allow one end to be sucked into the black hole, the Knights Team will then practice their Tug of War skills to see if they can pull the Communications Department out of this Black Hole thus enabling them to make clear communications with their fan base and the wider rugby community.

We will update you with progress, being made, once a full rugby team has been assembled, a really long rope has been located and the communication team have latched onto said rope.

But how will we know when a full squad has been assembled, there's no one to tell us.

When the season starts and a full team and bench are seen?

And so it is - Friday 24th August at 1900 at the Stoop. Looking forward to that, but it will be murder to get to before kickoff.

Not sure if anyone wants to co-ordinate ticket purchases so that we few, we brave, we Ealing fans can sit together at the Stoop, but I've purchased tickets for myself and Mrs. in East Stand, block AE, row B seats 120 and 121.

That does leave me wondering - has Ealing ever done a supporters bus or similar? I see them showing up from other clubs, but haven't heard of them leaving from Vallis Way (maybe I've just somehow completely missed this?).

Ealing have had a few coaches / minibuses over the years , last one I can remember was to Moseley a few seasons ago . Ealing supporters tend to travel in small groups which is a shame as the trips we have had have been rather enjoyable. We just need someone to organise and plan them (any volunteers) , we are few in Number’s but try to make ourselves heard 🗣Loud & Proud . Let’s wait and see what happens in the coming season things are changing all the time 😎

It's a difficult thing to organise. The supporters club at The Pirates have tried, on and off, over several seasons, but always struggle to get enough people to commit to make it viable. Pirates are always well supported at away games, but many make their own arrangements, and quite a few are exiles who travel from different areas. Also, when you run a bus you tend to get some people who are eager to get on the road and get home after the game, and some who want to stay for a few drinks - you can't please everyone.

Coventry managed last season with the revived supporters' club. running coaches to all away games. They managed an average load of 50 - with a number of see-outs, and multiple coaches on occasion.

Basic rules - have a desk taking bookings before all home matches.
Get the money up front
Communicate
Regular service - return departure is 3 hours after kick-off.

Now, everyone recognises it will be trickier next season with Friday night and Sunday matches in the Championship, instead of just Saturday afternoons, the unknown cup competition, and the likelihood of losing more games, but even so, it is expected that they will continue to almost all matches - barring Jersey of course.

[QUOTE=islander] The fact that LS and 'Mond can't be at home on the same date is one issue, although it's probably easier with both being in the same league in recent seasons.

We only came up to help LS the year before that  we had 8 home clashes

Ealing's preseason starts today, only three weeks on from the B&I Cup final. Seems crazily soon when there is still 3 months to go before the start of the season proper. I'm interested to know when the clubs start their preseason?

With the amount of new players they probably need it!

Blues are Monday 11th June.

Pretty sure when we made the play off final v Falcons we were late June.
