Quigley and Challinor were outstanding when they played for the Titans. It was mooted a couple of months back that we could be getting them back at Clifton Lane for this season, but sadly it didn't happen. Would have been very good for us.

Even though Colin Quigley has received his telegram from the Queen, he would still have done a good job for us.

Pleased to say that eight of Coventry’s ten tries against Moseley came from the backs.

Sorry to hear that Ryan Roach’s injury is a broken ankle. They can be difficult to sort out and slow to recover.

Should be a great evening & fantastic atmosphere. I'm sure that you will be able to grab a ticket from somewhere Captain.

Aren't you a season ticket holder Capt Sparrow? Normally pre-season games are part of the package.

Not the case, unfortunately. Bit mean IMO, but that's the way it is. I suppose the fact that it's sold out means the club were justified in maximising the income.

Sad news, we get them as a part of our bundle - so we have Sale FC (double header that day as Doncaster Phoenix plays Guernsey after our game) and Newcastle Falcons.

Very enjoyable game last night down at Bishop's Stortford between Coventry Development and a Bishop's Stortford team. Score f.w.i.w. 19:42. B.S. team not full strength, particularly in the forwads. Result petty meaningless, but a good run out.

That is great news - I wish we could get a consistent 2 to 2.5 k on our gates all season.

I do think when you move that gate numbers will rise and the holy land might beckon...

That's the plan. The squad is gradually being strengthened, so we should be in a good place by the time we move to the new stadium. Our crowds were much bigger in the one season we had in a temporary stadium near Truro, and then at Camborne. That was also due to us being very competitive near the top of the league and making two play off finals, as well as winning the B andI Cup. We've been treading water a bit while the stadium saga dragged on, but it feels like we're on the right track now that it's finally happening.

So - I see that Jersey is going to have a big impact on the Premiership this year...Danny Cipriani arrested on multiple serious counts at a club after some joint training sessions between Gloucester and Jersey. I wonder which Championship club will have a fly half poached.

Ironically I suspect it will probably increase his Gloucester playing time as presumably he will still be able to play rugby whilst it comes to court. It's just his England opportunity which has gone up in smoke.

The’gentleman’s game’ is welcoming Stokes back. Capriani’s charges are in fact less serious. Nobody got knocked out.

Consuming alcohol in vast quantities is mad but but part of our youth culture. Stokes had nine drinks yet his Counsel. A woman of 35, claimed he wasn’t Huckleberryly Pear. Interesting to see how much orange juice Cipriani consumed. I recall representing some lads involved in a fracas after a football game at Wembley where they’d Huckleberryly Pear a lot. Luckily it was less than half a dozen pints. It all started when one of them knocked a woman’s burka off and her husband took exception.
Business for lawyers and journalists but daft.
