Subject: EALING 150 YEARS
Date Posted: 24 Aug 2020 at 13:42
The forthcoming season ( if there is a forthcoming season ! ) is the 150th year from the formation of the club.

I have been a member of Ealing Rugby Club since 1982 and witnessed several RFU league re-structures and every time with out fail we have been on the wrong side. There was one occasion when having finished third from bottom we were demoted !. I think this was when the North / South National leagues we re-structured and numbers reduced in each league.

I find it a little ironic that the RFU are about to once again `re structure` and  firmly close the door. I am sure that if a rugby club can survive two World Wars and a serious pandemic that we will continue in spite of the RFU and their mismanagement.Clap

Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.

Many congratulations to Ealing RFC on reaching this notable milestone.
No 7, rest assured that whatever the RFU or Covid throw at your fantastic club, it will prevail and continue to play top quality rugby for many years to come, regardless of which division they find themselves in.

More importantly, is the celebration of said milestone. We need to get Covid sorted so that a huge party can ensue.

Very snazzy limited edition 150th anniversary commemorative shirts available. I picked mine up right away, and they actually allowed me onto the grounds to get it. TFSC looking in very good nick, and the wait to see the 150th season kick off is painful.
