The groups seem a little bit unbalanced

Group A World Rankings: 3,4,6,12

Group B World Rankings: 5,8,11,14

Agreed, but it was even worse IMO before they re-jiggled it when Japan dropped out and were replaced by Georgia

I see Amazon Prime have the rights to the Autumn Cup - with the exception of Ireland games, which are on Channel 4.

The deal is estimated at £15m - hardly worth upsetting people for in my opinion.

Apparently Sky's deal for the Autumn Internationals has run out.

This is ok for subscribers to Prime, but anyone else will have to fork out yet more money.

An interesting comment in the article, that this could hasten the end of the 6 Nations on free to air TV from 2022.

The 6 Nations CEO is talking up the deal, as you might expect.

You can get a month's free trial on Prime, so I think a lot of rugby fans intend to take advantage of that.

Yes, I was thinking of doing that myself - i might also keep it for the following month for Prime's EPL coverage.

Thus falling into the trap.

This is the thin end of the wedge. Wait until the Premiership and CVC (and the Six Nations if the CVC investment is confirmed) negotiate thier next TV deals.  Games could be splintered all over the place - just like football and you will be expected to pay numerous providers for your rugby fix.

That is what worries me - when football decided sky couldn't have exclusive rights - on the pretext that competition was good for the customer - the outcome was paying a number of sources to be able to watch all televised games totalling considerably more.

This was definitely not in the customers best interest, but created a spiral of fees paid to the EPL.

I agree with you, this will not end well for the customer.
