With no league fixtures this weekend are there any other games going on? any cup matches? Or is just everybody planning on having a weekend off...

Percy Park are playing their semi final of the northumberland cup against Tynedale Raiders. That's if the weather let's it happen!

Usually try and show the seconds some support, but christmas shopping beckons this weekend :(

On a similar note, I have always wondered why they dont stagger the weeks off - to expand on this, if half of the league was off this weekend, and the other half next weekend, I would stick a few quid in at Birkenhead or Chester and go watch them if Loo were off...seems a bit short sighted or am I the only one who would do that?

Dispite what you are talking about there will be no game at the upper park this weekend as chester have cried off due to not being able to raise a front row, this comes from a team who run 3 maybe 4 teams the 1st team are top of the league the 2nds and 3rds are doing well in there leagues, hmmmmm strange!!

Very strange indeed, perhaps a few niggling injuries or people down at twickenham? Shame..... BHP into the final then. Who else have you played to get there?

True suppose we are in the final. We beat macclesfield at macc in the first round

Park are not through to the final and we have to arrange another date  with to play the fixture.

We can only speculate as to why chester have called the game off but I guess it doesnt really matter.

For the record the pitch is a bit muddy but after the recent weather I guess most pitches are. A lot of time and money has been spend on the pitches to try and improve them and they are in a better state than they have been in previous seasons.

I have to agree with deadeye the pitch at the upper park does look miles and miles better than pervious seasons.

Well it was a very strong "second" team. Had falcons player Michael tait playing at 13 and their starting team according too the programme had 7 of last season northumberland county squad in it.

was a great game to watch, shame so many had been dropped from the 1st Tongue, the strongest Raiders team PP have played in the cup, a lot stronger than the 2 cup final team's, would be ok to say a strong "A" team.
