Rather late in the day, I know, but somebody was asking about the promotion and relegation graphics I did last year, and it's just occurred to me that I've only been posting this year's in the National 3 forum.  Here they are for anybody that's interested:
NB Promotion and relegation is shown to the correct CB in the first instance - Level Transfer is then applied if necessary.

The effect of this on Levels 4 and 5 is:

National 2 North: 17 teams
National 2 South: 15 teams

(Ampthill move to National 2 South)

National 3 North: 16 teams (including Sandbach who were in National 3 Midlands this season)
National 3 Midlands: 13 teams
National 3 London & South East: 14 teams
National 3 South West: 13 teams

(Level Transfer to be decided!)

Ampthill ARE playing in N2S next season, so that needs updating!
@RossiT: I sit atop all creation, and all that I survey is great... and Cornish!

Ampthill have moved to National 2 South thanks to the Level Transfer Regulations.  What I've tried to do is show exactly how promotion and relegation affect the pyramid, and why Level Transfer is sometimes necessary.  Smile

Since I seem to have confused the hell out of people (and made a rod for my own back), this is another attempt to explain what's going on.

Firstly, teams are promoted/relegated to the correct league for their CB:

Secondly, all teams are put back in the correct league for their CB:

This gives us the following numbers of teams in each league:

This means we need Level Transfer to even it all out again:

Is that clear? Confused

Well done. Now I know what is happening out side my little world, very informative and much appreciated.

Perhaps a spell in a darkened room is warranted?

good point, had someone complain about our website based on our club colours for that very reason.
NEWT is an acronym, it stands for North East Worcestershire Town. My views, not necessarily my Club's
