I know this is small fry compared to A real stadium, like the Cornish Pirates proposal,  but this is huge for Ealing Trailfinders. This rear part will house another bar area and WC facilities. Gerg the foundations for this started way before Christmas.

I don't know, Ealing's new 1250(ish) seat stand went up in about a month. I was amazed. Also disappointed that they took out the thousand temporary seats - those could have been filled for the Championship cup match (or the Rugby League games, but I try to forget those exist).

Yes but the stadium for Cornwall will be a bit more than just some scaffolding.

Amazing what these builders do with some old scaffoldingLOL

Fair enough, but it's still a 'semi-permanent' type of structure (akin to Wuss's old East stand, ie not cantilevered, and with viewing restrictions).
Not knocking it btw, as it's perfectly fine, and better thana good many in the 'pro' ranks.
Thanks for sharing the pics.

The S4C will include a 4G all weather playing surface and 10,000 seats .................

Is that what will be built straight away?
I thought it was just the main stand, despite the pictures on the S4C website of a completed stadium.

It’s probably worth pointing out that one of the drivers for the new Ealing development comes from their tenants, London Broncos. Certain ground improvements were a prerequisite of their promotion to the Super League. Nice to have, nonetheless (although a friend of mine can no longer watch matches from his bedroom window!)

I would go further and suggest it is purely driven by the London Broncos requirements.

The Stadium for Cornwall is an entirely different construction the entire length of the rugby pitch will have a huge development housing a hospiltality and catering school, function rooms, changing rooms , admin offices and other revenue generating spaces.

The seating is relatively cheap, compared to what is required.

No Redted, it is not what will be built straight away. Only the one large seated stand. As I also pointed out earlier, nothing can be built yet as the funds are still not in place - government haven't decided whether or not to give money, and Cornwall Council's funds will only be given if the government pay up.

Thanks for confirming as I'm sure most people think the picture on the website is what would happen if the council and the government stump up the small matter of 6 million.

Any idea where the funding is coming from for the extra 4000 seats?

Hmm. People got all excited about the Butts when all sorts of views, and a model, of a four-stand stadium were shown. Yet, here we are 15+ years later, with just the East Stand in place.
Hopefully there's more to come.
Still shakin' that money tree boss.

I suppose it will be decided if Truro FC have to vacate the ground to allow the Retail development to start.
