England RFU results, Fixtures and tables now up for the South west Premier (not that there is a lot in the results and table section Wink )
Its going to take a little getting used to navigating to other leagues in the division and also to other divisions - not worked it out yet Shocked

A bit off topic I know, but I've had a brief look and it's not that intuitive. It appears to work a bit better with Chrome. I haven't worked out to how to get the historic results. Maybe it's been designed for the mobile browsers?
It's a bit early to say this but for an organisation with a bit of a financial situation, I'm not convinced an update was required.

I have found the historic results Pete but its a weird interface.
On my windows10 desktop (using Firefox browser) I have a shortcut to the South West Premier page with 4 tab showing Fixtures, results, table and 'get behind the rose' for the 2019-2020 season.

Above that there are another 4 tabs on the black background part which are:-
All Teams - South West Premier- South West division - And a season drop down season menu.
By choosing a previous season you then have to then select which league within the South West division you want and all the historic results come up. It works but a strange interface.

By changing the division in the pull down menu tab from 'South West division'  you can get to any league  with the RFU

I think its still at the development stage as I can't get a sensible response. I recall this shambles occurred a year or two back.

I much prefer the old one. I'm using Chrome on a computer and that black box just gets in the way.

I've posted this elsewhere, but the new Englandrugby.com GUI is best used/designed for Smartphones/Tablets, it does not work at all well with older Browsers on Laptops and PCs and in fact some of the later versions of popular Browsers , my IE11 makes it look like I've fallen down a very dark hole. I'm told its a  "work in progress" including something "big" by 11th July.

Why the hell didn't they design the website for mobile and full browser versions, its definitely not user friendly!! I bet they've paid a lot for it though!

I'm going to be controversial here but .. I actually quite like the new layout. It takes some getting used to but ultimately its just different.

I do agree with the majority of comments around the need for change? Expenditure elsewhere would have been wiser but what do we know!

Having played around with the new layout for 30 mins or I quite like it. Easy enough when you get used to it - I am using the full browser version (firefox).

All we need now is the new stats section (there was a preview a few weeks ago but taken down now) which I guess is the "something "big" by 11th July" referred to above by PiffPaff.

I'm getting used to it now and have found how to get historic results

I see there is a 'match centre' link for each match now on the RFU results and fixtures page. Clicking in it says 'coming soon'. Hopefully this will give us teams, scorers, cards etc for each game. A welcome addition for sure.

FWIW I use LondonRFU.com for fixtures and results sent to my Iphone as against the main RFU site. I dont think there is a Regional equivalent. Obviously for those in SW, Mids and North it seems that those regions do not have the same to offer and they are reliant on the main RFU site. It would be helpful if LondonRFU.com could enhance their site with tryscorers etc but that might be asking too much. Statbunker would seem the only resource, until the 'match centre' gets up and running.

Not entirely so Fez, South-West and North regions have a very similar looking homepage to RFU London. I would have thought there is a Midlands one somewhere too.

Looks like Mike Uren has jumped the sinking Cleve ship to Clifton, young Polledri has also joined him there.

Uren is a good player. What’s happened/happening at Cleve? They seemed to be thoroughly disinterested when we played them last.

Statbunker does not accommodate level 5 these days as far as I can see.

It doesn't even fully embrace level 2 properly (not yet been fully updated to include Jersey vs Cov from last season).
