Said it already. IMO Jersey will have too much firepower and structure for Newport. Should put you folk in a very strong position.

Fingers crossed OE. Are you still expecting a 23 of youngsters and squad players for your game? I should imagine that YC are probably taking the same approach, but they will also know that a good win against LS and they have a chance of making the QF's.

Ospreys 1-5 Blues Should be a cracking game to watch
Nottingham 5-2 Munster A Could be the tie of the round both teams to score 5 tries and one missed conversion in it.
Jersey 5-0 Dragons PS - Size matters and so does a home quarter final
Ulster A 1-4 Pirates A genuinely great city to visit I recommend the brilliant breakfasts in St Georges Market
Cardiff PS 1-4 Leinster A Could be close but Leinster have a huge squad
Doncaster 4-1 Bristol - I also assume weakened side but surely pride will ensure its close
London Scottish 4-1 Yorkies Could go either way but at if exiles sort their midfield defence out they can win this one
Titans 4 -1 Mond - Howay Roth start the recovery lads
Ealing 5-0 Connacht A Could be a cricket score if trailfinders really go for this one
Hartpury 3-3 Scarlets PS This could be 5-0 either way depending on the team selection
Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

I expect something similar to the reciprocal fixture. A handful of old heads leavened with fringe players. We have three mega tough league fixtures on the horizon, Ealing, Donny and Bristol. I imagine we will want to have the full bifter available if at all possible for these games. IMO no point of risking injury to key players in the B & I. We will see.

Quite a few people expecting a comfortable home win in Jersey. It probably should be on paper, but a note of caution from two years ago: a v similar scenario - round 5 with Reds pushing to secure KO place - but it was a close-fought affair and the 24-12 win for Jersey didn't include a try BP, which at the time we feared could have been crucial.

Prop Phil Price has 150 senior Dragons appearances... I haven't had time to analyse the other 21, but I'm sensing Price's tally could be comparable, perhaps more, than the rest of them put together.

Mond team has some resting but is relatively strong so I give them a chance away to Roth.

Pretty much as expected. Decent mix with ‘Chewie’, Atkinson, Sharp and Ingall providing some stiffening, opportunities for the others. Yorkies look to have a decent side out, unsurprisingly as they can still get a quarter final berth.

I came across a couple of pods of Dragons forwards outside the central market in town this morning and pretty sure Phil Price was with them. Seemed like decent lads and I wished them well but was left wondering afterwards what odds I could get on Nick Selway scoring at least a hat trick tonight. Brilliant weather after the storms of last week so hopefully a good crowd down south at St Peter tonight.

Ok, so my guesses for Round 5 of the B&I Cup:

Jersey 5 - 0 Dragons...I think that it will not all be plain sailing, but we need the BP win.
Nottingham 4 - 1 Munster...3rd against 2nd. Very tight, but am going with the home side.
Ulster 4 - 1 Pirates...Another really tight game, 2nd hosting 1st. Home advantage...just!
Ospreys 0 - 5 Bedford...Can't see anything other than a Blues try fest
Cardiff 0 - 5 Leinster... This should be a 1 sided affair.
Ealing 4 - 1 Connacht... This could be closer than most people think. 1st against 2nd, home side to win, but it will be tight.
Hartpury 1 - 4 Scarlets...Anyones guess, but mine is for an away win this time out.
LS 1 - 4 YC...Carnegie are still in with a quarter final shout with a win, but it will still not be their 1st choice side out (I am guessing), so could be a close game. Away win, but close.
Titans 4 - 1 Richmond...I don't know why, but I can see Rotherham putting in a performance here. They have been playing better than results have suggested anyway, so a home win.
Doncaster 1 - 4 Bristol...For me, this could be the game of the week. No idea which Bristol side will turn up, but I am guessing that it will have quality regardless. Doncaster are still in the hunt for a quarter final slot, so will be looking to put in a performance. Could go either way, but hard to bet against Bristol.

Good luck everyone and please, no injuries!
