Good to watch the Bedford match on Ospreys video.Bedford pack superior. Marvellous Ospreys kicker. Bit of a war of attrition. Wouldn't like to see the injury list.

The cynics will describe last night's game as a total mismatch and a waste of time - I thought it was a really cracking cup tie from which both sides should take great pride. Dragons were totally outgunned in the pack - the back rows alone were outweighed by more than 20kg a man - but although they were bruised & battered they were never broken even when playing a man short. They ran every scrap of ball they could get their hands on with great speed and skill and scored three first class tries including one right at the end of the match when most sides having that sort of night would be looking to get the ball of the pitch and hoping the referee would finish the game so they could get a warm shower. Jersey could do a lot worse than borrow Dragon's backs coaches the passing, running lines and speed from the visitors last night was first class.

Jersey scored six tries, should probably have scored ten and played to their obvious strengths most of the night. Oor Uili had an extraordinary match - how on earth he picks a ball one handed from the middle of a horde of players and then literally wades through them and strides off down the pitch I will never know. Cope's kicking from the T is a revelation and for most of the game the whole team stayed on script and achieved the objective of 5 points and a home quarter final. I'm looking forward to Scarborough next week and hope both sides play their strongest teams and Jersey look for another 5 points. A lot to ask but Munster at home next please then in my dreams Leinster at home in the Semi finals and Ealing, Pirates, Blues or Donny at home in the final and a full house at them all.

Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

The Celtic nations certainly have the backs. I expect it’s the way they’re taught as they grow up. Look forward to maybe seeing you CC on 27th. I hope our locks have recovered from injury by then. We’ve picked a better team than the past two matches for today’s match at Roth. There have been 12 changes from the starting team against Bristol, but a lot of it is promotion from the bench rather than a mixture of 2nd to fourth teamers as before. I’m hoping therefore for a competitive game. In my opinion only non first teamers with a real chance of promotion should play. Also prolonged inactivity spoils the rhythm of the first team.

Really enjoyed the game at St. Peter's last night. I have not seen a Jersey side as focused as that for a long time and we really started at an absolute cantor. Most of the 1st half was a tide of red swarming forward and fair play to the Dragons, they could easily have been swept aside and given up. To their great credit and to the entertainment of the game they didn't. Ass CC has already mentioned, Dragons have a very quick back line and they looked to run everything at pace when ever they could. I lost count of the amount of times that they tapped and ran penalties, making good gains each time.
As far as Jersey are concerned it was job done, 5 points in the bag, let's move on to Yorkshire and try to finish the job (fingers crossed).
I didn't notice any injuries last night, so let's hope that there is nothing more than stiffness for both side. I believe that other games last night weren't as fortunate. Let's hope that there is nothing serious.

Afraid so, Harry Sheppard has a bad injury, Ollie Dodge to a lesser degree.   Both Locks took nasty knocks following a lineout collision. Very late hit on Dickson, but he finished the match thankfully. Will Hooley to join USA team soon, so some No 10s needed. Not a good night for injuries.
