just saw the welsh squad, 11 changes - they are giving it both barrels…

London Welsh: 15. Alan AwHuckleberry, 14. Seb Stegmann, 13. Tom May* (C), 12. Sonny Parker*, 11. Joe Ajuwa, 10. Seb Jewell, 9. Chris Cook, 1. Nathan Trevett, 2. Nathan Vella, 3. James Tideswell, 4. Mitch Lees 5. Peter Browne, 6, Richard Thorpe, 7. Carl Kirwan, 8. Ollie Stedman.

Replacements: 16. Nathan Morris, 17. Alec Hepburn, 18, Peter Edwards, 19. Ben West, 20. Mike Denbee, 21. Ollie Frost, 22. Will Robinson.

by my reckoning a BP win would get the welsh above the scots, unless the hosts get 2 BPs in defeat… and probably above ponty too, altho' the 'valley commandos' are no doubt looking for a cricket score against the accies...

current standings scots 20pts (+66pts diff); welsh 16 (+79); ponty 16 (+44)

Odd situation: they could all finish on 21 pts.

In which case Welsh would go above Scottish as they will have the same number of wins + a better points difference and Ponty, for the same reasons, could conceivably take second spot. Wont be enough for them to qualify though as Leeds, if they fail to beat Bristol, already have 4 wins and a formidable points difference.

additional complication is that the game's in doubt! neither club, nor the organising body, would want a postponement, but that doesn't mean they can just ask the man upstairs to turn off the taps…

Richmond Athletic Ground's first team pitch will undergo an inspection tomorrow morning ahead of Saturday's B&I Cup clash between London Scottish and London Welsh.
The surface will be assessed at no later than 10am on Saturday following the heavy rain in recent days and the forecast of heavy rain this afternoon and at around midnight tonight.

Currently the ground staff are working tirelessly on waterlogged areas to try and drain the standing water.

I went past the RAG this morning and it didn't look good at all - but I can confirm that the groundstaff were there going full guns to try and clear the standing water.

Conditions weren't that much better last weekend but the Richmond game got played and the pitch stood up very well.

Best of luck to them.  I know they'll go all out to make it playable.
