Dylan is a lovely lad, but commuting from Southampton 3 times a week was just too much for him. With our new additions, plus existing back 3 players, I’m not sure how much 1st XV action he would have seen.

We wish him the best of luck at Bournemouth.

Seems like Maids are going to be really up for it this season.
Fairly quiet at Barum although they have signed a couple of Exeter Chiefs academy youngsters (both backs) and also 2 or 3 returning backs from a couple of seasons ago. Nothing on the forwards yet.
I note that Brixham have made some good signings while Camborne have lost Ducker to Plymouth Albion.
Any other news ?

Have you retained the services of Ben Hilton, Barum Man? He’s a good leader for you boys.

Brixham look like they’ll be strong, whilst it looks as neighbours, Ivybridge have lost a few, including player coach, Paterson and Billy Pinkus, to Brixham...might they struggle?

Exmouth announced some new signings a few days ago, but heard very little from anyone else regarding incomings...

I believe the Bracknell TH prop, Dowding has retired, he’ll be a big loss, whilst the Macdonald brothers have moved on too. I have heard that winger George Owen may be returning to them though, from Wild Geese- anyone know if this is true?

If Weston keep the majority of their squad together, I fancy them to be near the top- some good players there, who strung together some good results after Xmas.

Any news from other clubs in SW Prem?

I have not got any insider info 'Maids' but most folk I talked to though Ben captaining Cornwall to victory at Twickenham would be his Swansong, apparently he is training and with us for another year.

Agree about WSM, they were very impressive against us last match of the season.

One of Exmouth's recent signings was James Bath who played scrum half for us for the past three years or so.

I bumped into gorgeous George a couple of weeks ago, he confirmed he's left LIWG and hinted heavily he'd be back playing at Bracknell.
Enjoying life!

From all the social media postings I am seeing Maidenhead are home and dry this season before a try has been scored so its a matter of who will finish runners up Big smile

Camborne have already pulled out of a pre season friendly this weekend because of injuries - I would have thought that it would be ideal to give some of the fringe players a run out !

Best of luck to all teams this season, lets hope its a good one.

VERY sad to report Jordan Petherbridge damaged his shoulder today. I fear the worst.

That's sad Pete, I cannot see Jordan coming back from this after losing all last season.

I agree, that was the feeling around the club yesterday afternoon. It happened very early in the game against Ivybridge (much the same as last year against Cardiff Met).
Taunton won 53-38 in an entertaining game though Taunton have much to work on defensively. Jack Arnott scored 4 tries. Ivybridge took their chances well.

I read the Ivybidge report on their website this morning Pete, they were well please with their performance. I was surprised how many tries they scored against you.
BTW Pete I was looking at the Taunton squad and it seems as if Jarred Hayler is not with you this season or did I miss his name?.  He was well impressive when he played for Barum.

As I said, Taunton have much to work on defensively! I was told they leaked some soft tries in their win at Cardiff Met the previous week.
I understand Jarred is on an officer training course this year and will not be available for Taunton. I am not sure if this includes playing for the Navy. It's a great shame as he was a stand-out player for us last season.
