REARRANGED GAME

I am sure by now you will all know that we have had 5 points deducted due to not following procedure when we cancelled the game. Maidenhead complained to the League Secretary in a somewhat unsavoury manner, despite us holding up our hands and pleading guilty that was deemed our punishment as per the League rules.
Perhaps Maidenhead hoped they would be given the game and not have to travel again, so at least we have the chance to show them what a truly amauter club can do.
Sadly it is a punishment on the players as we now find ourselves in the relegation zone
but I know the lads will be playing their hearts and souls out to regain League position and keep us in South West Premier.
As a club we can be nothing but proud of them.

I wonder if the boot had been on the other foot whether Ivy would have been magnanimous enough to say " It doesn't matter we'll absorb the costs of travel having set off in the middle of the night, travelled 200 miles and then told the game isn't on, and travelled all the way back happy"
As I see it Maids have not gained anything from the match being postponed previously only the opportunity to make another 400 mile round trip. Had they got 5 points and be now sat 2nd in the league then Bournemouth and NABS would have something to complain about. As is usually the case you reap what you sow you have to bite the bullet and come back accordingly.

Do my original predictions count for these games? Realise I’m too late for fresh entries

Results in
Exmouth 24 N.Abbott 21
Ivybridge 49 Maidenhead 26.
Ivy made their point but only have themselves to blame for the deduction.

With this weeks results BrixPhil being different made him top scorer with 5 in week 18 Clap. I'm sure Ivybridge are now rueing calling off the original game. All fixtures now caught up and hopefully no more postponements to the end of the season. Little change in our league only Spiko 123 moves into 2nd place on his own. So all caught up it looks like this. Come on England!!!

My own thoughts are that Ivybridge should have shown s bit more Humility my own club suffered a few years ago when they they cheering at the thought we had been relegated it does them no favours as a club and putting their thoughts on socia media shows a weakness , I think Maidsboy has already stated the points deduction was not what that they had been looking for

The statement from Ivy , reeks of the same ridiculous one that was put in their Programme a few seasons ago by the President at the time that means we (Brixham) no longer take coaches of supporters there any more, took 12 months for him to retract his comments.

Great team , very poor Committee  structure who clearly continue to put out stupid statements.

Ivybridge - Lie low, it will all blow over.
Looks like the sharp shooters are out and gonna make monkeys out of your Club.

I'm sure I could drag past dirt up but choose to move on in life, shame others are vindictive individules
who dine out on troubles of others, move on everybody.

Great statement today and a great win, Maidenhead are a good team.

Romanrelic.

Clue BP. my Lodge is full.

Roman whether your lodge is full or not the question lies in how a club and not indifulas act   You for one have tempted lots of people on this site   And I’m now fed up

Perhaps the standard of it's English is reflective of the quality of the hierarchy of the club?! As for the honesty...............

BP - don't get so angry.
I find no past evidence that people are pi**ed of with me and that you police all postings.
Whatever has happened at Ivybridge has happened and everybody must draw there own conclusion.
If they become the most unpopular Club in the league so be it, it doesn't need individuals to drive in any more nails.
Your Club may have the chance to relegate them as you play them the last game of the season, now if that makes you happy -  good.
Now trot along and have a beer, chill out and relax.
You probably need it after a stressful move to your new ground - enjoy.
But remember, I staying around unless somebody removes me.

From both sides, there has been some unsavoury comments online, which I sincerely hope will all be forgotten now the game is over.

I know nothing about past issues with other clubs, but they were most welcoming yesterday, and we enjoyed a few beers with them in the clubhouse afterwards, where I think it’s fair and accurate to say, that any potential ill-feeing between the clubs has well and truly been put to bed.

We wish them the very best for the rest of the season.
