If we were all judged by the worst thing we'd ever done, none of us would come out very well.

Gone for Exmouth because you can't bet against your own team. However with huge injury problems and Nabbott fielding premiership and super rugby players in their back line it could be a long afternoon.

I think you enjoy the game more if you don't know the rules. Anyway, you're on the same wavelength as the referees. Jonathan Davies,

And the final results are;

Bournemouth 14 - 15 Dings Crusaders
Bracknell 31 - 22 Cleve
Brixham 29 - 15 Lydney
Maidenhead 26 - 20 Ivybridge
Newbury Blues 31 - 5 Hornets
Newton Abbot 48 - 42 Exmouth
Weston-super-Mare 32 - 19 Camborne

And I think I might have just missed my first bonus point after the Bracknell win!!! Well done on Brixham getting their first win..

A really tough game at Braywick today. Ivybridge led 20-7 at HT, and were much the better side, but thankfully, we got our act together in the 2nd half. The fly half, Pinkus was class, whose kicking out of hand was one of the best I’ve seen.

Best wishes to the Ivybridge 8, who took a nasty knock, and Simon, was great to put a face to the name.

Cheers

After much faffing, manual counting and numerical alignment (thank heavens for Excel) I’ve managed (hopefully) to up date the league in between small drinks of course. I see a tight defensive game at Nabs gave them a close victory. This league really must be getting easier with Sidelined, Front jumper, Seaside mafia and Fat Bear with full houses Clap Clap Clap Clap
and a plethora of 6’s did notice Neil SKN edited his before Saturday wonder what he changed.
Spiko 123 hangs on at the top with a measly 4, Sidelineds’ 10 takes him into equal 1st place. Simon’s influence at the game obviously helped him and a few others and as eluded to Chipping man managed to miss a full house by the skin of his teeth. So the league looks like this.
Spiko 123 33
Sidelined 33
Town        31
Front jumper 31
Trftrf.        31
Seaside mafia 31
Red Pete 30
Chipping man 30
Roman Relic 29
Maids boy 29
Neil SKN. 29
Big Mac     28
Brix Phil 28
Jester 10 26
Stevie W 26
Fat Bear 26
Right flanker 26
Braders 1875 25
Surrey Ben.    25
Samba           25
Simon the Assessor 24
Seagulls 22
Blub 22
Norge 11
Have a good week off to regenerate. Any issues I’ll sort when I get back.
FP.

Thanks FP for pumping the numbers quicker than the scoreboard attendant at the NABS v Exmouth match today. This league is getting tighter than a hookers jockstrap and hope that everyone has an enjoyable week of rest...

I shall post the fixtures for Saturday 21 October during this coming week to allow everyone plenty of time to rest their prediction brain cells.

Cheers CM Thumbs Up

After watching the Dings v Newton Abbot match, the week before, thought that Exmouth were a better bet, but then chickened out - luckily. So changed the outcome to NA.

The match at Nabbott yesterday was a fantastic advert for rugby in this league, with nothing in it till the end.
4 tries from the premiership/super rugby wingers won the game for Nabbott, but if your paying a 4 figure match fee to them you expect results.

RF it sounds like a cracking Match  either way , and if they can sustain the money , then fair play ,  but its my understanding that it was a Temporay affair , with the player now being called into the Samoan Squad , my thoughts are not about the Money , but the Player being able to Sign and Play for a Level 5 club , my own club signed a Canadian International or Tried  from the Pirates while at level 4 , both clubs had ad greed it , but the RFU stopped it based upon the Players perceived ability being too good for that Level of Rugby , perhaps other out there are  more au fait with this sort of Thing

I have just read the following from Maskedchicken on LSE forum.
Re Wimbledon. Do they have the same side as last year? The vast majority (80%!) was made up of overseas players so whilst I'm no expert, isn't it the case that unless they are on some favourable passport they cannot play at level 4?.
Thought this might be of interest....

We have the blazers at HQ to thank for this mess once again. Foreign players cannot play above level 5 without a work permit. Therefore Wimbledon will have suffered this season as we did in previous seasons loosing the services of a quality fly half and winger.

With regard to Nabbot, Matt Jess is still attached to the chiefs, and is deemed to good to play national league rugby because of the number of appearences he has made for them. The Samoanplayer is here to get a contract with the chiefs once he has his international cap and therefore a work permit.

I agree with you Roman, i don't think a player should be able to step down 5 levels and effectively have such an outcome on games and final league positions. This situation is further reinforced with the arrival of Luke Ascott at Dings, i think you will find he features heavily on the scoreboard every week.

I'm sure you meant bollards Blub. I believe you Blub that you got 10, but I'm not sure the remainder would allow me to give you them this week. However, there is always next week. It doesn't take much to catch up. As can be testified by Sidelined with his full house and into equal 1st.

I think, if I recall correctly RF, in the Dings v Newton Abbot game Luke Arscott came off with an injury after about 10 minutes.  Rugby is a team effort these days.

Ha Neil , you must have been celebrating far too much on the Hope of Wales going to the w World Cup , ( Round Ball Game ) Luke Arscott  AFTER 10 mins of the game v Ivybridge , and missed the next game @ Hornets ,. but i think my point has been missed or subject to a diversion Tactic by RF  , we all know that both Mssrs Arscott & Jess were deemed to be surplus to their clubs aspirations and with boith knocking on a bit , the drop down is natural, i didn t see RF Moaning when the Giant Chris Bentley donned the colours of Exmouth ! , the lad  in question is a bonafide &  up to date International ( Samoa ) and yes it may be only the one game , but it may well determine Exmouths season especially at home where y they dont lose many games
