Hi Hivemind,

I saw today that Ealing has signed on with "Sports in School" around providing sport in the community. The organization says that it works with several other Championship and N1 clubs. I live very near to Valis Way, so I was wondering what we should expect from this based on your experience?

Also - I was happy to see that Ealing is recruiting a new Head of Community. They've done a lot this year to engage the community. A really welcome development.

I suspect you will see local secondaries will be able to get hold of a free or near free community coach to help in PE lessons or more likely after school training. Plus for the club is that they spot a latent talent in a non core rugby school who would otherwise not maybe join a club. Will likely also be orientated towards increasing the girls game locally. Ealing currently have to cluster with Grasshoppers I believe at U15 level and not sure they cover U18 girls at all, this is an area the rfu is aiming funds at (or rather making receipt of some funds dependant upon)

It's run by Cov hooker and Head of Community, Matt Price. I noticed he tweeted (or retweeted) about Ealing joining in the other day. His twitfeed is at @PenguinPrice if you'd want to pursue it that way.
