No doubt everyone is aware that the England, Ireland and France tours down under are being shown as usual by Sky Sports, however for those that might be interested Channel 4 are dipping their toes into the water by covering the upcoming Welsh and Scottish tours starting with the South Africa v Wales match being played in the USA on the 2nd June.

Thanks for the heads up on that - will keep a lookout for other matches.

Thanks. I'm surprised BT Sport hasn't muscled its way in here too.

Likewise, but I am pleased that there is some free to air rugby to watch.

Nice to have a few games on council telly for once.

Does anyone know if the Prem final is being shown exclusively on BT, or did C4/C5 manage to negotiate a deal to broadcast at the same time?

Out of context but BBC 2 are showing highlights of England v Barbarians at 11.30 pm on Sunday and I believe on I Player an hour after game.

His perception about reading the game and being in right position for offload was fantastic.
I really don't know which England squad member could have beaten that performance apart from Cipriani at No 15

Channel 4 coverage of Wales v SA was, erm, different.

Some rugby pundits have praised it whilst others have been very critical

Watched it last night - had mixed views of the coverage.  Some technical problems which saw the picture/sound cut out on occasions which was irritating.   Not sure whether that was technical-related or weather-related though.  Just pleased to be able to watch the match live without having to pay for it and looking forward to the rest of the matches in the coming weeks.

As for the match itself, not a good advert for the game.  Too many mistakes ... but then it was 2 largely experimental/development sides in wet and slippery conditions.  SA scrum power looked impressive but they made far too many individual mistakes.  Wales played well in patches and will have benefited from this game before the Argentinian matches.  Thought Tomos Williams, Ellis Jenkins and Hallam Amos in particular played well but they will need to step up a level in the coming weeks.

Watched it this morning but thought twice when I discovered Butler was commentating. Coverage seemed ok bar short loss of signal, as for the game ...
That's easy for you to say.

I'm not the only one who can't stand him commentating then? At least it was a Wales game, unbearable when it is England.

At least the co-commentator wasn't Jonathan "Jiffy" Davies.

Coverage was pretty amateurish - couple of total picture losses and shaky cameras throughout.

I don't think that it is too much to ask for a free highlights programme broadcast a day or two after the main event.

I saw 5 mins of SA v Eng on Y Tube - some good tries and some major errors but hardly enough to form a view.
