As we at Sedge prepare for our last fixture in National One, an adventure beyond belief, I would just like to say thank you and farewell for the time being to all supporters and posters I have managed to meet up with on Sedges travels over the last five seasons.

It has been a great pleasure to meet up with you all (you all know who you are) and regardless of club colours, league aspirations or financial battles, I wish you all the best for which ever battle you are preparing to take on.

Thank you to the posters on this forum who have helped in my requests for your club match statistics of yesteryear either by supplying them directly or putting me in contact with your club archivists some (Bedford come to mind) who take the level of information to unbelievable amounts of detail.

A huge thank you to Barford Blue who passes on the scores collated from around the grounds each week and updates others with results on this forum and by texts. I know many who cannot get to the games, who now rely on this service as the only way to get away results from the “latest updates” thread. (BB next season though, please do not text me back with the fight back begins, after we pulled a try back against Esher recently. We went on to lose by 76 points. Kiss of death or what)

Richard great forum, great ideas helped by having such a good band of posters even though some of them are from the South.

Last of all to GJ and Robin for the predictions league and no doubt GJ I will buy you those pints I owe you from our bet, seen as K&Ds mob let me down.

Congratulations’ and all the best next season to loose heads Leeds Carnegie ,looks like he was right all along, and well done once more to Moseley

You can all put your sick bags away now.

Onwards to National two, er I mean National one, whatever, see you all next season.

All the best

ST

It was brilliant you to see you when you came down and I do hope that our paths across some how (you on the way up rather than us on the way down). Good luck in the Championship and hope that you find your feet quickly next season and regroup and get back to winning and enjoyable rugby afternoons soon

Sedge is a big loss from this league, my 'most favourite' place to visit (pushed very hard by 'Dale).  Will try to get through on free weekends to meet up again.

Give him one with handles on.................but he'll still drop itLOL

So it's all been an elaborate April Fools? - the bottom 5 of ND1 aren't actually being relegated.
ND1 and the Premiership are being amalgamated and ND2 is being merged with the bottom 5 of ND1 to form the Champoinship?
At least it's not as stupid as an idea as the top 8 of the former ND1 having an end of season play-off.

ST,
You've been a worthy adversary this year! Have enjoyed the banter throughout.
I'd wish you all the best for next year but, for fear of putting the kiss of death on it, I won't. Or does that only apply to texts!!!!?
As you're aware there is a lot of interaction between the boards and we will cross next season no doubt.
Thank you for the volume of your texts during the season, a massive input enjoyed by many.
If the date doesn't clash with one of our "meaningful" home fixtures, I'll pop along to watch your game at Cambridge next season.

Good luck and all of the best ( oops said it now)

Been great to have banter with you. I also congratulate and applaud you for our commitment to your club in a very poor season on the field. Its easy to follow a winning team, but only real supporters travel the length and breadth of the country. Being Rugby though, the social side & the banter sometimes make the actual game a sideshow.
You are a credit to your club & to this board.
At the time of writing our safety is still not secured so it may be we meet you again next season, though, of course I hope not.
All the best.
David

Congrats to Sedge on the win today in the stockbroker belt.

I've enjoyed not just the 5 [I think] Pirates games at Park Lane but also the games I've watched as a neutral at a club which has retained its community roots.

Looking forward to seeing 2 more Cornish sides in sunny Whitefield next season.Hug
