The old boy's got a point; Martin Haag doesn't seem so keen on D/R players and Notts sit second in the table.
It'll be interesting to see MH back at the Mennaye in 4 weeks time.

In all honesty, I don't think anyone is that keen on DR's, but they were a means to an end. If we have to have players from other clubs, it should be on a long term basis unless an emergency injury replacement.. Tom Youngs (love him or hate him) was here for a while and obviously worked well for us.
I am sure we will still use the odd ones when we want to just to keep SL flying |

Worked well for him, not sure it worked well for us. Good in the loose, but he never learnt to throw into the line-out. Look how much better we are now with actual hookers at 2.

If only Nottingham was in Wales it would be perfect.

Just read:
With ongoing injury issues and only 22 fit squad members I wonder if they will be DR's?

Strange how that hasn't been described as murky by SL isn't it?

If Roth didn't take this player on loan, they couldn't put out a full squad this weekend. |

Ryan Bower and Joe Cain in Notts squad to face Doncaster side with Andy Symons at 12.
Symons is massive, about 6'4" and 16/17 stone but has some cracking skills if he can use them at the higher level than A team. Cracking player for me. Cain is a lock, not that much bigger than Symons really, good skils and can read the game well. Highly rated here at Leicester but I worry about his grunt work. Anyway be good to hear any reports on those two after the weekend! |

He's not 6'4''! I played with Andy in New Zealand last summer and I'd say he's 6'2'', tops. 16-17 stone is massively overstating it too. He is a big boy though, and has filled out since the days we wore the white of Christchurch HSOB. Even then, when he was an (almost) willowy centre, he was still nicknamed strongman. Deserves to do well, he's a really nice lad.

Looked on the official site and they say he is only 6', I swear he is taller than that, but his weight is listed at 16.5 stone (104kg). Bulked up a fair bit from last year by eye so that probably tallies.
