Richmond ended up with the most points and wins from a relegated club with 33 points from 6 wins.

Ampthill got the point they needed by half time to secure promotion.

Looking like Newcastle will be re-joining us after having had one of their best seasons in the Premiership in 17-18.

And folk were saying that we (Cov) would be safe when we hit 30 points!
Enjoyed our first season back in Champ rugby... a much more even field where each match is a battle.

I'll take eighteen points clear of relegation in the first season back.

Google bbc sport ampthill for a profile of the club and a video of the field they play on.

Already sin it. I assume it hasn't improved noticeably in the last couple of years?

From a Blues perspective, pleased to be best of the rest again at 3rd.  I felt there were a few losses that really should've been wins like last year that would have put us closer to Ealing.  The latter end of the season the team went to sleep but with little to play for it must be harder to keep the motivation when players start thinking about next season.

We have 23 confirmed signings for next year, which has retained mostly our 1st choice starting 15 other than the retirees and Clare.  Will be interesting you else joins us, I imagine some of the Ealing cast-offs will be heading our way.

The BBC programme on Ampthill refers to DoR Mark Lavery having a plan for the club's ground, but doesn't elaborate... I suppose that's what the club will be telling their members about at Wednesday's EGM.

Interesting Guardian article on the two clubs leaving the Championship this month - LINK
