Haven't seen a post for this around yet so thought I would get one started!

Hoppers have announced two new signings for the 2017/18 season. First announcing Paul Millea a hooker from Macclesfield who is currently in the Cheshire County team. Should add a bit of must needed experience to the squad. Then announcing George Skofic a winger from Tarleton, also worth noting he has 7 appearances for Slovenia scoring 7 tries in the process.

They also announced that we have retained the services of Jack Granby a young second row who had a couple of first team appearances at the back end of last season and looks a good prospect. Nothing else announced in terms of retentions or players leaving.

Any other business going on around the leagues? Would be interested to see how other squads are shaping up!

Seems they have been very busy in May, seeing Gareth's answers looks like retained some very good players - Lewis Allen and Pete Altham both played in Lancashire final at weekend, surely could play a level or two up from where Preston are now!

If more new lads come in will present players drop down to seconds, seconds to thirds etc if they are the Community club they say or return to clubs they have been recruited from over previous seasons?

Big pre season then moulding all the new players together as Gareth also mentions a few more may sign?

told he will get first team place at Hops by Gareth Dyer where does that leave Millea benching?

Judging from this thread and the comments made on the PG website, it is clear that they are aiming to go the season unbeaten, as Huddersfield did. They describe themselves as ' semi-professional '.
Harrogate might have something to say about that, as might Rossendale and Hull, but I don't think anyone else in NP will come close.

Phil Mills left to go travelling I believe, a few weeks before the end of the season and Christian Taylor is signing for a Cheshire club.
PS. Don't believe everything Mightypen posts.

Plus they have Up and coming hooker Connor Johnson - Says on their website he was at Blackburn 2?
Are they upsetting their Lancashire club collègues? Be interesting to here what Rossendale are doing?

So Hoppers have signed 3 Hookers of which none can cover Prop........ kind of limits your bench choices.

Sandal only lost to Huddersfield by 7 points and 2 points and were the only team to score 4 tries against them.
Anyway we have Hoppers at home 1st game so can't wait for season to start again

I fancied Harrogate to come straight back up just on the strength of their front 5 but without Will Dennis at tighthead and Jake Brady in the row I think they will be very much weakened.
