Two more announced at Rotherham:
Morgan Bunting is a fly half and joins the Titans from Hull Ionians. He previously played for Dinnington RUFC and was part of the Yorkshire U20 who won the U20 Championship at Twickenham. As the son of one of our Rotherham legends, Simon Bunting, we know he will be warmly welcomed to Clifton Lane.

Ben Waddington is a back row and arrives from Ilkley RFC. Again he has played for the Yorkshire U20 side and we are sure he will add to the competition in the back row this season.

Be good to see the Bunting name on a Roth team sheet again. Last time was April 2008 - total of 234 games!

That said with the rugby rumours of Park and with the squad Chinnor and OEs have announced not to mention DMP, Blackheath, Plymouth and of course Richmond who surely will be there or there abouts, this feels like it could be an insane season with at least 8 teams beating each other every week! Me thinks we have an even more insane league than last year! Not the time to announce a load of Bees players as core squad members! It could be a long season for Moseley! It’s not a nice year to be the three promoted teams either!

Clearly you have a in depth understanding of the quality of these ex Bees players and who will be the core of Moseley's team next season.  Please do tell us more.....

Quite - we've got nailed in past years for having a small squad. There will be some in that list that can do a great job on their way up, then bit-parters and squad players that give us cover. If I thought we were about to have 7 Bees players regularly in the starting XV (having never seen any of them play) I might be bit more worried, but if it means that we haven't got first choice players hobbling round the pitch because there's no one to replace them (as seen in both the last 2 seasons) then I'm all for it! What this isn't is us buying a relegated team and thinking "this is our team."
keep the faith

[QUOTE=Titantom]Moseley Mauler it’s not a dig just a factual statement that when you sign 50% of a team that got relegated from the league below! If they are players good enough to play for Moseley in a competitive N1 then 50% of a team should not have got a N2 team relegated...unless of course they were all injured last season. [/Q

You are not taking into account possible morale issues at the previous club, nor the potential difference in coaching, nor the different facilities, nor the quality of existing Moseley players...I could go on....

Funding is already agreed and negotiated to cover 20/21 so it would be a tad difficult to go and cut that now.

Given the reorg to a 12 team championship was done mid season, I see no reason not to expect a reorg for the 20/21 season.

Actually my money is on 14 team ring fenced premiership - no championship and a 16 team National 1 with ~£250k a years each from RFU. So half what Championship currently get.

That would be 7 down. So I suspect the Regional Premier leagues would be increased to 16 teams.
You are now two teams short over the 4 leagues.

of course hat does not fix levels 6,7 and 8 which is where the real problem lies.

Not next season Camquin, potentially the one after that. But if you look at the signings some of the clubs are making, in the championship, Newcastle may have a fight on their hands so it might not be plain sailing with the potential for the wrong teams (according to PRL) being in the Premiership. I do so hope that this is the case and they are made to reconsider the guff that they spout.

I quite agree, perpetual promotion for the previous year's relegated side does nothing but enhance the case for ring-fencing the Premiership.

We desperately need a different club to be promoted!
