Macclesfield 18 Chester 22 in the Cheshire Cup semi final.

Chester led for a good portion of the game until Macc took the lead with six or seven minutes to go. A soft mistake by one of the Macc replacements gave away a penalty on their 10m line, Chester kicked for the corner, won the subsequent line-out and went over the line to win the game with an unconverted try.

Good defense by both sides. Macc should be hard to beat in the northern premiership this season; Chester should be good for another top five finish.

A pulsating game at the Avenue where Wharfedale just edged out Rotherham.
Titans will be a big force in Nat 1 this season but it may take a couple of months to get going.
Dale blooded a number of excellent young players from last seasons National Colts Cup winnimg side.

That is very interesting, have Canterbury signed new players up front?

Interesting result, albeit a pre-season game, bearing in mind the 2 sides have effectively changed places.

This possibly confirmed my previous suspicions that Esher will be near the top of N2S while Canterbury will struggle in N1?
