BE, thanks for getting the thread alive N2N was going very soft.. sorry quiet.

Having made the annual trip to Tynedale, to be honest I was disappointed, what with the promise of all the flair
While I am lead to believe Tynedale were missing some of their stronger backs and larger forwards, they really did contain the Sale Flair, who in my opinion were very limited in their game.
They were dangerous around the break down, but once sussed, they showed very little invention, tuns of effort, but very little else against a well organised and hungry home team.
If the home team had converted one of their three other chances the missed drop goal would not have been discussed!

so for all the infrastructure, investment and ambition, Sale do seem to be lacking something

Sale do have a number of outstanding players but over the course of last season they were unable to adapt to what was in front of them when the pressure really came on. They are possibly in the same mind set this season which if true will concern them.

At level 4 and above it is unlikely you will ever just bludgeon your way to the league title. Sale will need to find that spark of invention which can change things around.

To be honest I still think they are favourites for the title even though they are sitting some way behind Stour and Tynedale but they need to somehow rediscover their mojo...........

N2N is a fascinating league this year.........with so much competition for the top spot and probably 6 or 7 sides really wanting to win the league......that makes a big difference and some of the other sides will also be looking to take a big scalp..........

Just a brilliant competition

It certainly is as Sandal would attest to a couple of years ago when in top 3 at this stage only to get relegated with 60 points on board just letting Sale stay up. Injuries and lack of squad depth play a big role. Sale and Stourbridge will be ,I think OK ,I'm not sure what depth Tynedales squad is but I hope all teams progress without injury.
