This is the big one for me every year due to my proximity to the border. Lots of friends from both sides will pack out the pubs in Chester - I'll be included in that number, having deftly secured a babysitter for the game. Not sure I'll be good for much after it's all finished though!

England by 5.

I will be watching the game, in the peace and quiet of my own home where I can hide behind the coach if Wales starts to pull another one of the rabbits from the hat.

One thing is for sure, the crowd will be singing the roof off and Wales will need to feed off of that to counter the English good form of late.

On current form only England by 10.

I dont think they’ll be singing the roof off as I doubt very much young Eddie will allow it to be closed.
The atmosphere will be electric though. Looking forward to it. Nervously though.

As suspected no roof for the yakki das. “Not playing indoor rugby!” The away team has to agree if the roof is be closed.

The roof is usually a major topic of conversation/mind-games, but has hardly featured thus far. A settled forecast - grey, not too windy/cold and only 10% chance of any precipitation - probably makes it less of an issue...

Can’t understand why we can’t have the roof closed in our own stadium. Surely everyone wants to see a good handling spectacle. Obviously not.

As an England fan I have two main worries:........ the fact that John Terry visited the England camp this week to address the squad...

Welsh players and management had Gareth J Bale (the actor not the footballer) put on his one man show 'Grav' in the English changing room at the Principality Stadium on Monday night. Robin Mcbryde and Ken Owens were in tears at the emotion of it all.

John Terry or Ray Gravell? I think Wales come out on top in this one!!

Not 'arf BE - Wales win that one by about the same score that NZ beat Japan in one of the early World Cups...

I now have a third worry - that you are talking up England in the same masterful way that you big up Caldy's opponents before they head up the the wooden shack and promptly get their trousers pulled down! Tongue

LOLLOLLOL

Wales missing Halfpenny, Tomos Williams and Sampson Lee................and Eddie wont let us have the roof closed..........everything going the way of a powerful and possibly unstoppable England machine

Based on the performance of England away to Ireland I say ENGLAND by 20 points.
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.

I'm English through and through and have enjoyed watching this fixture for over fifty years. It was tough viewing in the Barry John, Edwards, Bennett eras.  Always loved it but can never understand why I get so emotional and choked up when the Welsh anthem is sung. When its sung just by the crowd not by some silly lead singer, it is SO good to listen to - it has to be the best anthem out there.  And the Millenium stadium, possibly the best in world rugby.  Ignore all the media twoddle about hostility; whenever I went to Cardiff, I met nothing but proper rugby fans.
If England play as they have so far, there should be only one team in it. Welsh crowd and massive spirit is hard to combat, but England have all the aces going into this: form, confidence, game changers and belief. Problem is they have NOT to believe their own hype.  Get a Johnny May fast start, quieten the crowd and happy days here we come. As in Dublin against the red hot favourites Ireland.  But life ain't like that, and the Welsh will be fired up for this one....But I still go for an England win, and kick on from here towards Japan. And with Itoje, Mako, Underhill etc yet to rejoin.  England by at least 12 points.
Ps Carrot if you post here, can you PLEASE tip Wales.
Shame its on BBC, the ITV coverage has been SO much better and Johnny quiet wisdom good to listen to
Come on Jersey........

England continued where they left off from the poor second half last time out, we should be getting better not worse, gave that away. clueless Jones is so out of his depth

absolutely furious about our performance but fair play to Wales. I really think they wanted it more in that 2nd half and were deserving winners. we just showed no creativity at all. I'm sick of these meek and gutless surrenders when the pressure is on.
