Oh darling Goal Kicker you just weren't our type . You see our membership is built from individuals of the highest moral standards , a fine cross section of wealth and entrepreneural endeavour . We feast on the finest cut of steak within our shortcrust pastry pies and glug the finest merlot you can buy for a fiver . Sometimes we play rugby on Saturdays and have something to celebrate , but celebrate we will in our new 5 star facilities , and as before you will be as welcome as "Thrush " and as popular as a fart in a sleeping bag !! X

Pen15 that is rich considering on  28 Oct 2018 at 21:07 you where fishing for a reaction from RumbleintheBlundell come on mate, the feed isn't invisible!

Also to address GoalKicker- Maybe the club is in better hands now all round, and people believe they are all in it for the right reasons and together? Not that somebody will jump ship when it gets tough.maybe.

This is getting very boring now.
I suggest that you start a new “keyboard warrior” thread where you can air your differences without disturbing the reading pleasures of the rest of the membership.

The topic is the point I think.  Just check the name of the thread please Montys and Goalkicker and go start your own thread if you want to keep squabbling.  It's bad enough Waterloo fans squabbling on here without random interlopers hijacking our little space!

I find it quite simple . If you want to give it out , be prepared to take it . I am a rugby enthusiast with a positive outlook . What I take offence to is people wishing to ridicule or question another clubs direction . Read my posts and you will see that , I have positive things to say on every club we have played at level 6 .

Thought the boys played well on Sat against a Northwich team who took their chances well and had a well drilled defence.

Set pieces were pretty equal throughout from memory, both pinched a few lineouts etc.

We gifted Nortwich 10pts in the 1st half, a converted try (finished well to be fair) that came about from not playing to the whistle - Loo on the attack in their own half, mistimed pass to the wing, most seemed to be expecting a whistle of some sort but the Northwich backline scooped up the loose ball and cantered home. Then a reversed penalty decision for back chat (think our man was complaining about a late hit behind the refs back - not a malicious hit, but it was late) gave the Northwich kicker a straightforward 3.

Think the ultimate difference was Northwich attacking the breakdown though - very effective at that it turns out and we didn't adapt to it.

Tough watch but exciting nonetheless.

Week off for most to get their kinks worked out and we can all go again stronger on the 17th!

Love this league, to be honest.

Saints have a prop & a winger playing . I think it's a great idea but the timing could be better as any injuries will be a big problem to the players clubs .
Oh, come on Monty (10?) take a chill pill.

Don't you recognise an occasional bit of dark humour now and again?

Or, is it perhaps the fact that the plan isn't/hasn't gone to plan thus far?

Smile

This is my second season at Anselmians and this season has been a learning curve for all. We have put in some good performances but have come up just short on a number of occasions. Injuries to key players hasn't helped out plight but I am still confident we will still be around next season and looking forward to our return match.
Un-Watch the topic MikeGC[/QUOTE

Mike GC one of the most reasonable and balanced contributors to this forum so I'm inclined to agree with his comment rather than the " ..if you can't take it" approach adopted by Monty10 who is a new participant.

Having said all that if the teams ( or more accurately supporters of teams) from both sides of the Mersey want to oranges each other off then there is nothing that those of us from civilised S Manchester can do about it,
