Rumble, why didn't u introduce yourself...I would have vehemently argued that the best team didn't in fact win... we scared the living pawpawe out of a team that had smashed everyone by 40+. Well played Loo, well lead Jack & on we go. The best squad we've had in ages.

Loo F - we lost, the end! The best squad in ages.....maybe last 3 years but still lightweight in context of this league!!!

Spirit in the Loo camp is fantastic, a relatively new team all on the same page. Eight new players this week & a huge Brucey bonus of Colbourne returning. Vale are the benchmark for this league & we took them all the way & with a little more luck & a touch more composure we would have won. The result is a negative but performance is another step forward. The theme on the Caldy thread turned to the man in the middle being card happy, I think yr man had forgotten his in our game. Having local society refs over rfu is a big difference, At least three blatant high tackles went unpunished & in the last 20 minutes Vale were rarely on side but sir thought it OK. He gave baffling decisions for both side to be fair & although he's reffed to the best of his abilities, he struggled to keep up & lost the game.

All positive stuff LF BUT you need to turn those narrow defeats into a string of wins.

At Wilmslow Sat and after losing to Loo Port ground out a win in difficult conditions. TBH it was a poor game and on that evidence neither team would survive in the league above.

Interested in the impact of new players throughout this league - both Wilmslow and Port have settled squads by all account whereas Loo field 8 new players and last week St B 5 new backs.

Vale still the team to beat obviously but second spot very open.

Maybe a win for Loo next we? I don't see Port beating Vale based on what I've seen/heard.

All true bigmal but the boys are improving week on week & IMHO were the better team on Saturday & with a touch more composure would have won. None of the new boys played to my knowledge. The good news is that one of our main try scorers returns to training this week & one of jlo's 1st teamers is returning & once fit will go straight into the one's. We've played the top teams in the league & now have a string of winnable fixtures up until Christmas so well see what happens. Unless vale get injuries & someone can put up a fight they will canter home, so 2nd place is all to play for. Good win for port BTW, but not unexpected.

Personally I'm really happy with the start the lads have made this season. Some were predicting a freefall through the leagues but the boys have shown what they're made of and every team we play will know they've been in a game. Ak celebrated like theyd won promotion when we missed our last kick Wilmslow fans knew it could have gone either way. We've exceeded expectations in my opinion. The team that started last game had 9 different players to the regular starting team last season. That takes time to connect and I think everyone involved is doing an admirable job.

Two optimistic and enthusiastic thumbs up from me.

Seconds beat Wirral yesterday convincingly in the end after a slow start. Team awash with new boys, with the two wingers the standouts...No11 is real quality & will I'm sure be 1st team in the very near future. For me he starts next week!!! COYGB

Rochdale 19 - 26 loo

Not a bad game given the conditions. Early mistake penalty didn't find touch, cave returned the resultant kick got isolated and penalised, Dale scored try from penalty. Loo replied with a good break to even things up then we tossed an interception to make it 14-7. Loo equalised with some strong diving from forwards and took the lead with some smart back play. 14-19 @ ht. Weather attricious in second half, Dale came into it more and rewarded with a try through the forwards with about 15 to go. Loo powered for the line and eventually crashed over with 2 to go. Game over. 19-26

Those bonus points could be crucial at the end of the season though?

I'm assuming that 4 sides played last w/e ?

Table settling down but AK seem to be in freefall after holding Port to a draw ( Port were lucky ).
