Loo F - good to know squad numbers are up across the 3 senior sides but the first team results aren't positive. After relegation last term, and what is likely to be a mid table finish this season, are the coaches up to it?

Agree rumble, fine margins have seen the 1sts snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on at least three occasions, but have played well in most games thus far, so it might well have been a different points haul. There is definitely enough quality, it's just getting the mix right, certainly with the integration of the league lads & that is a major problem for the coaching team. Defence is our main downfall for sure, but with a week off I'm sure the boys are working hard to fix it.

regarding comments about Loo defending, cut to ribbons in the 12/13 and outside channel - very different defending in league to union, easy transition over time - if in doubt, hold off and dont shoot - let the oppo make a decision and use width to push into touch or wide channel, to compete and turnover ball

where as league is shoot out the line and biff someone

in the words of our prime minister, crow lady - Loo look strong and stable - mid table finish, a years experience for a new and young squad - keep the core, add a couple of quality players - back in the hunt for top spot come spring 2019

good luck everyone and well done for Mr Turner for strengthening the 2xv in a key position, would not like to be the sedge loose head in scrums

2nds had a good go Vs Sedge yesterday going down 10-33. Could quite conceivably have been two scores up early doors but again like the 1sts struggle to finish them off. Sedge 15 was class & made the difference on several occasions. Lots of handling errors from both in the arctic conditions. Certainly wasn't the gap between the two sides that the score suggests.
