So Waterloo host Racing Club de Burnage this afternoon.
I've always enjoyed my trips over there mainly due to Loo's outstanding hospitality.
However, this is the first game between our Clubs I have missed since we first met in National 3.
Hopefully it’s going to be a good game.
Good Luck to all the lads today and also to everyone else putting on their Club shirt today.

C'mon Mike you're being just a bit too nice today....

I wish Carlisle had been so charitable!

1st half was decent - Burnage played some lovely stuff but a few too many errors cost them. It seemed to me that a few Burnage players were playing at a speed and level above their teammates, and it led to a fair few dropped passes etc.

Loo good value for the win, ultimately. Set pieces were fairly even throughout, Loo backs very dangerous and direct

2nd half was pretty dour stuff really

Anyone got any feedback on how Broughton Park stuffed Birkenhead Park 52 - 5???

Seems a crazy result

Expertly summarised. Loo too good for the majority, Burnage scored a try from the top drawer & looked dangerous in the centre's. Lavelle has given us wheels @13 & we look a different team. Looking at some of the names in the twos shows we're starting to have depth in the squad, Randa back is a huge plus. Vibe in the clubhouse was brilliant.

By the score line it looked like defences were on top yesterday LF - possibly the lowest scoring game seen in recent years?

Certainly were BM, 3-5 looks like a a dour game, far from it. How it was 0-0 at ht was beyond me as both had good opportunity to score. Loo had the best of possession & territory but port played good counters, yet again the big no8 making the difference...superb performance. Loo had a definite try not given, the unsighted ref making a tmo TV sign before saying it was held up...idiot, it was down all day, not even close. Loo best in the loose but set piece struggled, line out was really poor & scrum was ports domain. Certainly entertaining.

Me...consistency of selection has blighted us more than performance levels bar a couple of games. Sat in 9th place W6 L7 is fact, but doesn't truly reflect where the team/squad is. We've been well beaten in two, beaten in two & lost/thrown away three by bad decisions/management switching off. I think W9 L4 would be a fairer picture of where we are.

Yeah there has been a lot of rotation, whether by choice, unavailability or a bit of both I really don't know. Definitely hasn't helped the lads to form partnerships, perhaps a reason why the lineout in particular hasn't been functioning of late

Scrivens looks like he's starting to really come out of his shell now which is excellent news.

With all due respect LF where you are is the accurate picture - fair doesn't come into it.

Still half a season to go -Wilmslow had a great second half last year but look at them now. IMHO teams have to really want the promotion and be organised enough to adat when it comes.

I do actually say that BM, fact is we are 9th. The three close losses we imo should have won & would give a fairer reflection. We've created so many chances it's untrue, yet failed to cross the line. I fear its second place at best for us IF EVERYTHING falls into place, starting on Saturday at BP...which BTW is one of those games thrown away.

Right down in the mix now chaps. Not good.

Pretty dour game today, 0-13 in the 1st half, 17-0 in the 2nd implies the wind may have been a factor!

Loo couldn't cope with the Park penalty, lineout, rolling maul combination and it led to 3 tries. Scrum was pretty even, Loo looked more dangerous ball in hand but the conditions weren't there for that. No complaints from me.

With 3 to go down and 1 or 2 to go up it really is an interesting 2019 in store.

Extreme circumstances aside, realistically Carlisle will win the league & Anselmians & De La Salle are down so there is a play off place and 1 relegation spot up for grabs. 13pts seperate 2nd and 12th! Absolutely everything to play for really. Win a few on the bounce and you'll be right up top - lose a few and you'll be right on the bottom! Anyone's now I'd say.

I wouldn't of called today's game dour!
Fair play to both sides the conditions were dreadful.
Park forwards edged it upfront and second half the park 10 did what the loo 10 should of done in the first half.
The fact none of the backs froze to death second half is a miracle.
The only way loo got in the park end second half was through some debatable officiating.
Can't fault the effort from both sides today and the banter was good on the sidelines from the hardy few.
It's only when your freezing with several layers and a big coat on that you realise how much of a jessie you are seeing a 70yr old running touch in a bobble hat and shorts.

We'll be fine...Jack weare was named at 10 today on the team sheet. He's our no8. Wasn't there so no argument here, but I've seen more than enough to be looking up rather than down.
