Mond have Cheeseman from Harlequins and Max Davies from Ealing. This makes up for the absence of Chris Davies and Mitchell so they have a reasonable chance of winning if not rusty from inactivity during the Cup interval.

Ealing Trailfinders team to play Jersey on Saturday 22nd December in the Greene King IPA Championship: Slightly puzzled to see Lydon back at 15. I'm a big fan, but he sat out almost all of the cup games, and I wonder if he will be rusty. This line up is probably the strongest defensively that Ealing can put out, with JCR having the ability to shut down the backs on his side and counter-attack. May earned his spot this week after coming on and impressing in place of Willis, and the pack continues to impress since the addition of Els. Yeaaaaling!

15 Peter Lydon 14 Seb Stegmann 13 Pat Howard 12 Harry Sloan 11 James Cordy Redden 10 Laurence May 9 Jordan Burns 1 Jordan Els 2 Alun Walker 3 Elliot Millar Mills 4 Ben West 5 Harry Casson 6 Jordy Reid 7 Andrew Durutalo 8 Rayn Smid (c)

Replacements:

16 Matt Cornish 17 Alex Lundberg 18 George Davis 19 Jordan Onojaife 20 Rohan O’Regan 21 Ryan Foley 22 Craig Willis

Well the Bookies seem to fancy Ealing & Notts as big odds on favourites.

Seriously, it looks as if Ealing are putting out a really strong 23 for this one. I can’t help feeling this is the first ‘must win’ fixture of the season. Here’s hoping for decent weather and a decent crowd, no serious injuries and a damned fine game.
Speak softly, but carry a big stick.

Decent value double IMHO pays about 24/1.

So that is the secret of their success?!? I knew that something fishy was going on.

Fingers crossed that they got in before the airport was closed again.
