It works for me on my laptop using Firefox and on my Kindle Fire using Silk all the time over our French cable connection and home WiFi.
There are two things that annoy me;
1) Sometimes you get a page not found message, clicking the back button and then the link again and the page is there! It was there all the time but the server could not find it.
2) Maybe it is just me but the go to the latest post link no longer seems to work. I just go to the latest page and jump down, but there we are an annoying little niggle.

I have pretty much given up on the site to be honest. It usually takes at least 6 attempts to access any page, on both my iPhone & my laptop, and it's been like it for months now.
It's a shame because I used to visit regularly, and being able to access other scores whilst watching Blues was always very handy. It's got so bad I have to rely on BBC Sport for results Unhappy

Weird cause I use it on a Windows PC and 3 different Android phones / tablets, ususally through Firefox. All I do is come in through "New Posts" and it's fine.

I'm with you, FHLH. Windows PC using Chrome, Android using Dolphin. I use a favourite to New Posts, and there's rarely a problem.

I use a PC and IPad both of which I use my favorites then refresh the page before clicking on any subject link, this seems to work. It is an annoyance but nothing major.

Even on a laptop it's irritating me. Every time it initially says NOT FOUND but when I click a second time on a page link it's ok. Surely a problem that can be fixed easily enough?

iPhone and Laptop are hit and miss.  Most frustrating is the iPhone as someone else mentioned to keep up to date with scores in the division.

I have fewer problems getting through on iPhone than PC.
Far from perfect though.

On my iPad I sometimes get page not found then I have to go back round again. Although making new posts a favourite has made it work better. I just get monster sized text now.

The problem is that on the first visit to the site any URL (page address in web speak) is malformed by the addition of random characters

If you copy the link instead of clicking it, paste it into the browser address bar and remove the trailing garbage (which is usually obvious) everything works as it should then and thereafter. Alternatively, as advised above, use the back button, the second and subsequent clicks should be OK

The above is only necessary, in nearly all cases, for the first link clicked, it is likely a bug in the session cookie creation code.

If you are experiencing this problem all the time it is likely you turned off cookies and the browser thinks that every click is your first click this session. Especially if you using Apple's Safari on iOS as turning off cookies without telling the user is an Apple security 'feature'.

The only exception to this behaviour is the Signings & Departures thread which, for some reason, is producing the malformed URL every time it is clicked. A work around can be found here

I think you're on the right track Fat Albert.

Regarding the signings and departures thread, I think that the source of the problem is with rewrite rules. The link that the forum software generates is to:

it appears that forum_posts.asp takes the GET parameters fed to it and redirects the client to:

For some reason, the parameters FID and PR aren't being stripped off like they should be.

Take a look at this article:

It's not exactly the same problem as here, but I suspect that the same fix would work in this instance.

Blimey!  are FatAlbert and RedorDead speaking Mandarin

There's a fault with this site and has been for a long time.    Surely whoever runs this forum could contact the Forum software provider (Web Wiz Forums) and ask them to fix it, or at least ask their advise.
I'm not all that technically minded, but there are people out there who are, ask them.
