London Welsh vs Cornish Pirates

Assistant referees: Philip Watters, Michael Patz
Assessor: Stephen Leyshon

London Scottish vs Rotherham Titans
Referee: Dean Richards
Assistant referees: Darryl Chapman, Dino Maddern

Moseley vs Bristol
Referee: Matthew O'Grady

Ian Tempest was in charge of Jersey's latest unsuccessful Friday night match earlier this season when Nottingham were the successful visitors. My s p a r s e notes also record that he was in charge of Jersey's home defeat to Bristol in 2013 and an away defeat to Leeds in 2012 (another Friday night match) but do record a win in a match refereed by Mr Tempest at home to Albion in November 2012 when Jersey beat Albion narrowly and Nathan Hannay was man of the match.

Only fond memories of Llyr ApGeraint-Roberts........from (poor) memory we lost every game he officiated in ....until the Cup final against Leeds..........when he played a blinder (well - OK). 2nd only to Luke Pearce in my opinion after he awarded us 3 penalty tries at Cov one Friday night 10 (??) ish years ago. We meant to name the bar after Luke...........then forgot....

I am worried..

Ealing always seem to give us a hard time, and
Mr Tempest is the referee who disallowed a Jersey advantage in the final minute of the last game he reffed in St Peter. Let's hope the pre-match briefing is understood by all.

Looking forward to the game I must say

Ealing are rather unpredictable at the moment.  Given recent performances, Jersey have little to be concerned about. But, as they showed at London Welsh, they can put in a mighty performance!

It's all about consistency.....

Have been to Jersey on three occasions watching Albion and it's always been great fun + Toby always seems to perform well against them Wink. Sadly, can't make it this time round but I'll be tuning in to listen!

Best

Thanks CC. Whether we have Mr Tempest or not we still have to weather the Storm.
Just noted the assistants at the Nottingham game. Mr Falla ( Guernsey name?) and Mr Daubney ( Jersey name?). Reminds me of an Aussie Rules game I saw in Perth in the 80s when the ref, a coach and five players all had Channel Islands names.

Roth at Scottish - a lock at 6 in preference to Canadian international back-rower, a number 8 at 7, looks like we're going at Scottish with the broadsword rather than the rapier.

LS v Rotherham

XV: Lydon, Earle, Jackson, Fergusson, Locke, Grove, Horne; Gibbons, Kwasnicki, Shields, Cannon, Patrick, Bright, Walker, Clarke.

Bench: Cherry, Schonert, Litchfield, Carrick Smith, Bartle, Heeks, Morris.

Never mind broadsword or rapier, that's about all we have. Best of luck to Roth, but not too much!! Need a win.
