Fair report by Ampthill. Esher found it tough up front but had a lot of freedom with the ball they did win. I was astonished 😮 that we got a try bonus point inside 20 minutes. That was strange but the end was bizarre! I have some sympathy for the Ampthill 9 but the scoreboard was working and clear, the commentator (me) had announced the score so it can only have been his maths! the difference was the place-kicking, Paul Roberts was immaculate for Esher and line-kicked well while losing Pritchard early on was a real problem for Ampthill.
