Jersey 4 - 1 Pirates - one of my favorite fixtures of the season and this could be a belter. Got to go with my team
Titans 0 - 5 Hartpury- what has happened to the Titans? Could be another tough week against a well organized side
Ealing 4 - 2 Blues - tricky one this. 2 very good sides, but home advantage to edge it
LS 2 - 5 Nottingham - another high scoring game, but visitors to come out on top
Bristol 5 - 0 Richmond - others won't, but I will go for a cricket score home win here
YC 1 - 4 Knights - another cracker, but Donny edge this one. YC not firing on all cylinders yet

Jersey 5-2 Pirates- Should be a great game both sides deserve a HUGE crowd to make the boards at St Peter bounce.

Titans 4-2 Hartpury - A tight game on a very narrow pitch - Hartpury score 4 tries but Titans have the nouse to win.

Ealing 5-2 - Bedford Ealing's forwards to be the difference but very tempted to make a day trip to see this one.

LS 4-1 Nottingham- Home advantage to make the difference

Bristol 5 -0 Richmond- Mond's pack to have the edge but Briz have a dream back line & Haining to hold it together

Yorkies 5- 1- Doncaster Should be a cracking match but at home YC to win

Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

CC is the most enlightened blogger on here. To me, most of these results are the toss of a coin. Not expecting Mond to beat Bristol, but hoping for a point. Brizzer's prediction of a 'cricket score' makes me feel better, as previous tips for Mond to be thrashed have been unduly pessimistic.
Mond looked pretty good on Saturday and will improve.

Could the Pirates fans please bring some decent weather with you when you come over (well those who can make it anyway). We have the Jersey International Air Display on Thursday, so you will be well entertained. We just need some light winds and day long sunshine please!!

Jersey vs Cornish Pirates

Citing commissioner: Danny Rumble

Mr Ridley was in charge of 3 Jersey matches last season all of them at St Peter. Pre-season he covered the match against Amptil which Jersey won and then followed this with the narrow New Year defeat to Ealing after which the Jersey coach bemoaned a potential Ealing red card which was not given and a Sean McCarthy try disallowed. His final Jersey match last season was the home win against Yorkies which was another tight game when he yellow carded a couple of the visitor's forwards. The season before last he was in charge of the televised away B&I game against Dragons which Jersey ultimately contrived to lose despite leading with full time being up, Dragons a man down and Jersey awarded a penalty by Mr Ridley. It took a lot to lose that one but Jersey managed it!

Mr Ridley's only other Championship game this season was the opening week fixture when he yellow carded two of the Mond players who lost to Blues. According to Statbunker he was in charge of 11 championship games last season and gave out only 7 yellow cards so clearly the 3 he gave out in matches at St Peter were not typical. He always strikes me as a young fit referee who properly takes no rubish from players and nor should he IMO. I would expect the new scrum arrangements which IMO have been a huge benefit to the game will assist him and I hope the Jersey and Pirates players show enough discipline to enable both sides to keep 15 on the pitch for the full 80 on Friday. The citing commissioner at St Peter has a cracking name!

Ridley had adverse comments in the Mond programme from our captain Will Warden, which is unusual. Maybe just a bad day.
