Radio jersey commentator wondering if the jersey crowd is from the 1930’s and said on the forward pass that was just picked up that it was a forward pass unlike the ones in the first half the crowd was complaining about
(Having to listen to that as Radio Bristol coverage off line) |

Bristol thoroughly deserved the win, congratulations. And congrats to all the supporters who swamped us on Friday evening and hopefully had - are having - a great weekend. Bristol backs looked sharp and always likely to make dents and missed at least two trys which seemed certain . So the score could have been a lot more
 Especially the one where there were five Bristol backs and just van Breda - Reds full back to beat. Somehow he denied them near the scoreboard corner. Not impressed with the officials today - and why was Rory Pitman - Reds No 8 - yellow carded in the first half. Bristol scored three times while he was off and that was the game gone. That ten minutes really hurt Jersey. Anybody know what Rory was supposed to have done ? The refs hand signal seemed to involve sweeping the floor !

I can't disagree with the result BUT.. a Bristol 7 pointer from a blatant forward pass and another 99% almost forward pass / knock score on score indicated a bias to the star team ( which is not unusual--- e.g. All Blacks ) which could/ should have given a losing bonus point to Jersey. Given the injuries and re-shuffles Jersey had to make I think it was a an excellent game for them. Bravo and thanks the Briz faithful for their contribution.
