I can't find my notes of this game. I think that Jon Sleights in on the very left and Joff Griffiths on the very right. I don't recognise the other player at all.

I played in this 7s for lowly Yorkshire Main (also no longer in existence). If this is the year I'm thinking about we lost 46-6 to Wakefield in the early stages but were the only team to score a try against them. They beat Brid 46-0 in the final. I may be wrong as much drink was taken that weekend.

I have just located my programme for this tournament. Wakefield did beat Yorkshire Main in one of the pool games but the score was 28-0. Wakefield beat Bridlington by 22 pts to 4 in the final.

The player on the left was "young" Jim Naylor who was a guest from Old Crossleyans on the day before he went on to greater things. The Player on 2nd from the right was Danny Clarke who had joined us from Doncaster. Our side was a very good side and Phoenix played their hearts out that day and could not have given more.
My aged mother - in - law was also later standing next to them as they did a mass streak onto the pitch - and she in her innocence was completely oblivious to what was going on!!!!!
