"Guv" played one season for us, 09/10 at 10 (and maybe 12 once or twice? Can't remember off hand).  Good skills, decent boot but very much a league player, needs to learn the union game still.  He was a little niaive tactically and positionally as you would expect from someone in his first union season.  He played four years at St Helens where he obtained Great Britain Academy honours touring Australia and New Zealand.  He then spent three years at Swinton Lions, captaining the side to a Grand Final in 2006, before moving in 2008 I think to Rochdale.  26 years old, nice guy.

Sounds exactly the sort of player they need then. Same article says they've lost there 10 for 5 months.

How's the pre season gone at Loo?? always enjoy a trip up to Blundellsands

It's gone well by the sounds of it. I guess the proof will be in the pudding after this weekend!

Thoroughly looking forward to watching us kick off on Saturday.

Glad you enjoy it Don, we always try and make it as hospitable as possible!!

Barla, Birko lad is spot on - very few teams will come away with a win at Rossendale or a loss by a single point for that matter. Get back in your box.

Filming for the advert took place mid week towards the end of last season.

If you look closely you may spot several well known Waterloo faces in the background.

No clues

Well 6 months is a pretty good time to keep a thread going!

Lets hope this weekend we can rectify that this weekend eh Ian H!!

Is anyone going up to Penrith this weekend?

I'm away on business this weekend and next so I won't be able to give my support. Wish them all the best luck though! Let's hope we can finally kick start our season now before it starts to get dangerous...
